"Possibly the best GF fish and chips I have ever had in a pub in the UK! The fish itself is huge, really fresh and with a thick golden batter. The chips are amazing and the mushy peas and tartare sauce delicious. Being gluten free this tends to be my go to so I have tried a lot, mainly in London and South and this is hands down the best. NB I originally wanted to have the roast which was listed as a GFO but the option was to remove the yorkshire pudding and the cauliflower cheese so I decided not to, but for any non GF guests, this also looked amazing my BF had this and the yorkie is huge! Also the place is not crowded so we had a really nice lunch here would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back on our next visit to the cotswolds."

We went for dinner here during a short break. Lovely old town to walk around. The Highway Inn is veryt old and obviously used well by locals which is a good sign. We had booked for dinner. Lovely up market pub food. Would recommend. View menu

The staff at this restaurant were exceptional when we came in for dinner. A mother and daughter working together harmoniously, creating a great dining experience. The food was excellent, the atmosphere delightful and very welcoming. We will definitely return. They also own the Bulls Head. Thank you.

The restaurant offers fantastic service with a friendly staff. The chef is exceptional, creating a top-quality menu that we all thoroughly enjoyed. The stunning old building has a welcoming bar area. However, attention to detail was lacking as there were room laundry bags left out and the toiletries were not up to par. Overall, a great experience but could use some improvements to earn 5 stars.

Excellent stay with dinner at the Highway Inn in Burford. Lovely old building full of character our room was spotless and very warm and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive our waitress Leanne in particular it was bin day and meant a very noisy removal of the bins being taken outside so to minimise the disruption she entertained us diners with a dance routine great fun enjoyed by us all! We stayed at this restaurant for a couple of nights while Christmas shopping in the Cotswolds and Oxford. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you, Lindsey, for the extra attention. The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, nicely decorated, and well-equipped. The building is old, so expect wobbly, sloping floors and a quirky layout. The breakfast and dinner were excellent, with freshly prepared food using local ingredients. We couldn't find any faults with the food we had. It was good, wholesome fare.

Recently travelled to Burford in the Cotswold to just look around. Feeling peckish we started to look for somewhere to get a light lunch and came across The Highway Inn on the hill in the main street. Really welcoming on arrival. We both had the soup of the day, really delicious Cream of Celairiac with warm fresh toasted Focaccia. Followed up by Coconut Panna Cota with poached Rhubarb and Honeycomb, a really fabulous dessert. We had a couple of drinks and the whole bill including service charge came to £37.35 A very warm and welcoming traditional Inn, highly recommended.
