Were going somewhere else but it was shut a local mentioned it The Bristol Red a nice sweet cider we had a camenbert share great starter onion rings crispy and soft vegan burger thick, tasty with tomato relish chips crispy and soft good atmosphere the staff attentative said sorry for the delay but the price of fresh food a tasty surprise thank you for the experience Price per person: £20–30

The Holman Clavel is an absolute find. A small country pub nestled in the Blackdowns that has too much atmosphere and character to fit inside. Summer evenings are often best enjoyed in the pub front seating area where bands often play to enthusiastic customers fans. The food is amazing and the crackling winter fire entertains dogwalkers from far and wide. Definitely somewhere to go whatever the weather. Price per person: £30–40

Unfortunately not able to eat there as didn't book before... turned up as passing. Very popular place. Food looks good . One downside.... as much as I like seeing chickens, geese and other fowl in their rightful place, at this venue, the birds are wandering all around the grassed car parking area. Feathers, bird poo a bit of a put off!! And being attacked by geese as trying to get to car... not great experience. The pub owner would do well to erect a proper enclosure for the fowl, where they would be safe, and away from customers driving in and out from the very busy main road, and walking to and from their cars from pub ..
