"A lovely atmosphere, great staff and fantastic food. Went twice in two days, firstly for a late breakfast then back the next day for lunch and to collect half a dozen gluten free homemade doughnuts (who knew! . A few doughnuts should have been desert but they all became takeaway items as the chocolate cake looked too good to be missed it received top marks from the children. The Toblerone cheesecake I had for dessert is genuinely the best cheesecake I 've had anywhere, it was remarkable. The only feedback I got on the doughnuts was How is that gluten free!? No other words were offered as doughnut consumption became the priority. I suspect we will be returning many times."

I visited with my disabled father, my mum and brother. Food was great. The young Portugese girl was really sweet and couldn’t have been more helpful. She was lovely. Thank you all of you.

A very good choice of reasonably priced food. The sandwiches were good and the coffee was outstanding. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was fresh and the salad was quality.

Always a friendly welcome by Mark the owner. Good is good and Gluten Free, Dairy Free is well catered for, with a very good understanding of it. One of our favourite places to eat, or just have a drink in Dawlish. Also very handy for the shops and gardens. Recommended.

Lovely place, so many options for my coeliac daughter! Ordered donuts for collection the next day, which resulted in my daughter having a massive smile on her face! Will visit again when in the area for sure! The rest of the family who are not gluten free, really enjoyed the food as well.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. They have a wide variety of gluten-free options on their menu, including pasties, burgers, and more. I tried the chicken, leek, and bacon pasties with chips, which were delicious and made in-house. The homemade Toblerone cheesecake was outstanding. The waiter was very knowledgeable and even had gluten-free brown sauce and vinegar available.

I live in Dawlish and have said on several occasions I must pay a visit. Well today I did and will definitely go back again. I had one of the gluten free scones with a coffee the coffee was a bit strong so I will need to ask for a weaker coffee next time) it was slightly warm and was delicious. My Dad had a non gluten free tea cake and a pot of tea. It is nice that they offer gluten free and non gluten free options. They ask when taking orders if you have any dietary requirements.

Home Kitchen specialises in gluten free food, and does a super job. As a coeliac I have been calling in here for many years when visiting the area. We usually visit late morning for brunch, and it is obvious that there are a number of regular customers, which is always a good sign. The menu offers a wide range of gluten free meals, (including a good selection of varieties of quiche) and a specials board. The gf bread is as good as I have eaten since diagnosed coeliac. My partner on a normal diet) always enjoys her meals here too, so we are both happy.

"This was our 2nd time eating in the crab shack, we booked at the beginning of the week to ensure we got a table and took the kids for an experience and the food, the staff are lovely the food is awesome, lovely place to eat however this time was a bit disappointing , asked for a beer of the menu, not available, no oysters, no mussels, no clams completely understand seafood is all seasonal so no drama, we opted to share a hot platter, (as this came with a whole lobster plus extras for only an extra £10 vs the cost of a lobster) and told they would swap the mussels and clams for extra something else as didn’t have these items. It came out with half a lobster plus the other bits promised we queried this we where told that sometimes the chef will give you a big half by weight rather than whole lobster I have never heard of this and felt more upset we where then just being lied to the table opposite also had ordered the lobster and they received whole one so I guess this must have been a small one!? They also told us we are not really telling people to order the hot platter as we don’t have much of it to which we replied this would have been nice to know when you took are order, they offered 20% off, which we agreed to even though being sat by a sign that said whole lobster £120 meaning a missing half should £60?! So I wanted to leave 2.5 stars, but don’t worry these are really big starts , like bright and weighty ones it’s basically a 5 star review?! Right?!"
