"Residents of Chelsea and Fulham can consider themselves lucky, not just for the obvious reasons (it's one of the most affluent areas in London), but also because The Imperial has recently opened on the west end of King's Road What used to be a pub known as the Imperial Arms, is now a modern restaurant in a stunning Victorian building that has been completely refurbished by owners Alan Turtill and Kate MacWhirter. I was kindly invited to review the restaurant's special brunch menu so I was there with my husband on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago We took the Overground from Clapham Junction for just one stop to Imperial Wharf and walked less than ten minutes to the restaurant. Food is good but way overpriced. A side salad at £4 with max 50 small leaves comes out at 8p a leaf and when I say 50, I am being very generous)! £60 for 2 is ridiculous.

The Imperial's menu caters smaller portions and healthy eating for children and adults. The kitchen is open from 9am – 10:30pm. So there's always hot food available all the time. Their menu also caters for special diets, like vegetarians, gluten-free and paleo, so nobody feels left out.

While the place was busy due to a Chelsea match day the service was quite poor. It seemed the kitchen had trouble getting meals out. We only ordered a main course and it took about 90 minutes to get out and then we felt rushed in order to get to the game. At one point the server told me another 4 minutes and it was a further 20.

this place seems to run from a kerl that resembles micky mouse with a pony tail. his little man syndrom and crownings that protect the place make a very appalling visit to what was a decent alcohol. I would not recommend this clicky coks that have been invested in my worst enemy, although micky mouses self-worthiness is very amusing.

along the fulham endes of the kings road used to be something of a no-man country. when I moved to West london fifteen years ago, you would certainly not go for a night there, or even shop. but it is an area that is more and more on the market and the imperial itself sits in a series of designer furniture and lighting shops and rather tasty delicacies and coffee shops.

On a recent Tuesday evening we made the trip down to the Fulham end of King's Road for dinner at a lovely gastropub and restaurant called The Imperial , which has just celebrated its first birthday. The decor is beautiful: a classic Victorian pub with high ceilings and large windows brought to life with modern interiors, chic statement lighting, exposed bricks and rustic, wooden tables. And, most importantly, some jolly good food.

the hotel is located on the western end of the king’s road near fulham is a bright and brave Victorian building that is home to the imperial. the imperial has a restaurant, a bar and a garden that serves with a strong focus on sustainability. the interieur is modern and airy with beautiful high ceilings at the entrance and the mood is friendly, welcoming and cooled. the menu offers local-acidified British diners inspired by international aromes. there is an open kitchen and my friend and I take a place that gives a view of the kitchen and a view of the garden.

peter morrell was impressed by the inventive kitchen, the beautiful presentation and the stylish furnishings of this restaurant. the imperial outer. cool colors, mellow brickwork, stylish lights. the escap. pork belly starter. al fresco dining room. PausePlayPlayPrev|Next. the imperial is housed in an attractive, symmetrical Victorian building on the kings road in the chelsea design quarter. in the inner it has been sympatheticly decorated to make the great space optimally use. the tables are well spaced, the colors are cool, there are exposed stabs, interesting artworks on the walls and stylish light fittings.

The menu was clearly labelled with various allergens which was very encouraging as our son has an anaphylactic dairy allergy. My son ordered the Vegan/Dairy Free (as clearly marked on the menu) Vegan Roast. The waitress returned 10 minutes later and advised that the potatoes with the roast contained butter as well as the roast as the chef decided to add dairy to a “vegan” roast. Also, the “vegan” tandoori cauliflower sides were actually not vegan. Whilst the waitress was very attuned to the allergies, the management was not and it is amazing after such high profile cases such as Pret that restaurants can be so reckless with labelling and menus.
