"Absolutely disappointed beyond belief. Why even bother opening and advertising that they do food? We really should have walked straight back out the door upon entering. But we had read reviews and really wanted to try this place. The staff were disinterested. Pointed to a table where we were to sit for our evening meal. We were given what can only be described as filthy sticky pieces of paper that were supposed to represent a menu. The table was dirty and sticky with drink stains. Nevertheless we proceeded to order 3 main meals. Over an hour later we still had no food and not once did anyone come over to the table to explain why. The place was by no means busy. There were 4 tables with customers! After approximately an hour and 10 minutes we asked if there was a time that we could expect our food to be ready. Bearing in mind our order was for baby back ribs, a steak burger and a chicken skewer. So not overly complicated. We were told that there was only 1 chef working!. And that the manageress would go and check for us. She returned to say that food would be ready in 5 minutes. Approximately 10 minutes later the baby ribs and steak burger arrived. We had to wait a further 5 minutes for the chicken skewer meal. When it did arrive the chicken was cold and absolutely cremated. So much so that the chicken itself had started to disintegrate and a powder of charcoal remains were on the plate. Absolutely disgusting and inedible. Our entire party left all the food and we went to the bar to pay and left. Disgusted, disappointed, disillusioned and would NEVER RETURN"

"we have always eaten in the ship inn on the way back from south wales because it was a beautiful, typical rustic English pub. the former owner mike and his manager and chef, jane, new her profession and exactly what her customers wanted to eat simple, very tasty English kitchen and comfort. it has been for three years and in this time it has changed the hands. Oh, my God, there is our once good experience finished. it is now called 'boutique ' pub'. it has been re-designed and refurbished, obviously on a limited budget and the menu has changed. we must say that the renovation in our humble opinion is unhappy. it is cheap and sticky and we were shocked that the beautiful old English wooden beams were painted in a fungal emulsion paint and the new seats are a purple crushed velvet type material with a ring on the back? was that to fasten your dog? it looks really cheap and sticky. How bad. there were four of us, one has not eaten, two had the homemade rindburger and I had the filet steak with pfeffergrass sauce. which for a compassion did not match the ambiente of the place with the eating. my steak was perfectly cooked and tasted really delicious. the burgers were made definitiw to house, but the 'consumers' did not like the taste of a crust / ingredients in them. I personally thought it would be very nice, apart from the fact that it was served on a crooked one! what are there with restaurants today? sloping, bowling, wooden blocks? Why can't we just eat from a teller? sadly not prepared the old comfort food dishes like jane (bodied juices, steak and nierenpudding, leber and speck etc. but never less what we ate in this week was pretty good. because the ambiente and the character of the place have been completely ruined, unfortunately we will not return. unnecessary to say there was not another soul at the place from beginning to end. to put the last nail in the sarg for us, they no longer sell hobson's beer!!! sacrilege!"

"hallo, I spent almost a year and a half with my mother who is 91 straight over the bridge from the hilton garden inn glassgow. I am disabled myself, and mama has lost confidence because the closures have begun. that is, the context of our journey. she mentioned last week that she liked to go over the “’Squinty Bridge” (former name is clyde arc), so...with my beautiful strong neffen pushing her chair we over lunch with the hilton. when we came there, it looked like we couldn't sit in (it was a very hot day, but Kovid rules were on site and place), but we didn't mind that we were out. a nice man named allan, however, saw that mama would not be comfortable, came over and told us that he had a table for us inside. we were thrilled. the excellent attention did not stand there. mama loves fish, but is allergic to alcohol. she can't have the beacon. he ensured that the cook knew this and she was presented with what she called the best fish she had in a long time. (Coming from her, this is an accolade as she is donegal and used to fish directly from the sea into the pan and she is very fussy my nephew and I ordered various burgers. eating was amazing. the service was exceptional and we did not have to rob bank to pay for it. all the facilities were exceptionally clean and as such, and there were various sanitary stations everywhere. I don't think that the personal will know what this little outing meant for the three of us. we are not important people or rich or anything the world could consider with gunst, but we were treated so well by this restaurant. I can't thank them enough. small friendly and respect for all make great differences to the day of men. we will definitely come back. Whether the great shiny hotels around. hotel in berlin inn, you are the best."
