"We decided to try out this restaurant for a family meal and were welcomed warmly by the smiling team. The restaurant was quite hot and lacking air, which made our stay a bit uncomfortable. The food arrived quickly, but unfortunately two of the meals were warm instead of hot. The portions were generous and delicious, although some of the vegetables were a bit hard. The prices seemed a bit steep, especially £15 for a roast and £18 for a basic pizza. Overall, the service was polite but the prices didn't quite match up to our expectations."

A very busy evening, so service was strained but the bill had higher prices than the menu, wasn’t impressed with the food and one meal was cold, very disappointed and won’t be returning.

Sunday lunch is fantastic every time. Always busy so best to book. Jimmy and his team always look after you. The chefs need an extra whoop whoop as they work so hard and the standard never drops.

Started with stale bread, main course wasn’t anything to be raving about more flavour in my shoe. Refused to exchange or give a refund. Abhorrent manager with an abrupt attitude. Wouldn’t be attending again. Customer service was shocking.

Such a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk into the restaurant. The staff meet and great you with a smile and professional manner. The food is good and so is the wine, lovely little independent Italian restaurant. We will be back soon thank you.

Jen was absolutely fantastic serving me and 23 others at our table. They were so efficient with their customer service, I will definitely be coming back based on the service we got from Jen alone. The food was fantastic too!! Thank you for a lovely evening Jen!

Went with a group of friends and we've been ignored for a long while after we had our first round of drinks. We had to ask for the order to be taken. I had a terrible risotto, greasy and salty. The fact that was watery made me think that it was reheated. Won't be returning!

First visit and what an incredible experience. Authentic atmosphere.Staff polite and helpful. Great welcome. I was recommended the salmon dish by a friend and totally blown away by freshness and flavours. The owner was a wonderful host who made us feel really important and nothing was too much trouble. I use a wheelchair and everyone there accommodated my needs.

We had another wonderful dining experience at the Italian Kitchen. The food was delicious and the service was attentive, as usual. We were celebrating our son's graduation and the owner, upon hearing this, gifted us a lovely bottle of wine. It was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. A big thank you to the entire staff for helping us end our fantastic day on a high note.

Overall, our experience at the restaurant was quite positive. The food, including pizza, pasta, and lasagna, was delicious. The ice cream was good and the tiramisu was amazing. However, we felt that the garlic bread was overpriced at over £4 for a small slice. The service was a bit inconsistent, with some forgetfulness and delays in bringing out our desserts. The restaurant could also use a bit of a refurbishment. Nonetheless, it's nice to see that the restaurant is thriving and busy, and the food definitely lives up to expectations.

"I was excited to revisit the New Inn after many years, as it used to be a favorite spot of mine. My group of 8 had pre-ordered at the request of the New Inn, but we were told 15 minutes after our booking time that our food was just being prepared. An hour later, our food still hadn't been served. After checking with the staff, the manager assured us that our order was next. Another 10 minutes passed before our food finally arrived. The gammon came with sides that we didn't like and were not mentioned on the menu. The portions were oversized, which was nice, but they were too much and off-putting. The salad trimmings were of poor quality. The fish in batter was enjoyed by those who ordered it. The main meals were okay, but I would have preferred better quality over quantity. We had to chase the staff for a glass of water, and even after being offered dessert menus, no one came to take our order. When we decided to follow up at the bar, the manager seemed more interested in finding out which staff member had failed to take our order than in solving the issue. The service was okay but could have been better, as no one checked on us after our meals were served. It seems like the staff could benefit from more positive training from a supportive mentor. When we asked for the bill, it took a while for it to be brought to us, so we ended up paying on the way out. It's a shame, as I had fond memories of the New Inn, but I am unlikely to return after this experience."
