"Another amazing meal delivered at the King Head. We love coming here as the food and service is always excellent. Despite an early booking the place was busy with a lovely hustle and bustle. Starter of fish cakes were delicious as was my husbands (I can’t remember the name. Came in a puff pastry parcel). However I did remember the roast beef and Yorkshire’s (huge). The carrots were a star unto themselves cooked in star anise which really life a plain carrot into something else. Generous thick cut sirloin of beef and cauliflower cheese. Really lovely service. We were never left thirsty with many a top up. Great friendly service. We will be back. Thank you."

Fantastic duo of lamb with dauphinois and cabbage. Fish and chips, OK Rhubarb and custard panacotta a few pieces of poached rhubarb served alongside a regular (rather tasteless panacotta (where’s the custard?
