staff make a lovely strong coffee, provide great service and customers feel at home. it has a relaxed athmosphere and is a cafe frequented by local people and non-local people alike.

I was in need of a good breakfast after a 3-hour drive and found this cafe in the area. The reviews were spot on - the breakfast was great and the cafe was bustling with activity. The waitress was friendly and worked hard to accommodate all the customers. The prices were reasonable and I will definitely be returning when I'm back in the area.

Since the take over we have noticed lack in value for money. Ask for a sandwich with chicken get 4 tiny little strips, ask for a slice of cake get a little slither....you are asking the same money that’s the old owners wanted yet your stripping back on portion. Please give value for money as we are starting to be left disappointed after every visit and we visit a lot!

As soon as we walked in and sat down a rather rude , rough as you like young lady said do ya no wot ya want ? Errr no ! Do you no wot ya want ta drink ? Errr no ! We had a breakfast each , one veggie , one ordinary , the veggie one was undercooked and tasteless . You couldn’t hear your own conversations with the banging in the kitchen , it was a horrible , horrible experience .

We live locally and drop in for the works breakfast or lunch often. My favourite is prawn jacket potato with side salad which is cut into easy to eat pieces. I also love the burgers from the special board and eggs Benedict. Lovely friendly owner and equally efficient staff. If it’s busy expect to wait for food but it’s freshly prepared using local produce and definitely worth it

Great this cafe has its own car park as parking on the front doesn’t look like a clever idea too narrow with passing traffic. The burger of the day was very tasty. A lamb burger with the most scrummy chips. To make it even better I would have had a brioche bun rather than the large white bap. My hubby had Coronation chicken in a baguette, he chooses this filling often and thought this one was ok but not great, it lacked the pieces of apricot and sultans that make it delicious. Over all very good. Friendly service would recommend.

This restaurant is a fantastic spot for either breakfast or lunch. The dishes are all freshly prepared and the staff is very accommodating. I have dietary restrictions and need to follow a Gluten Free menu, and the owner went above and beyond to ensure that I could eat safely. This is a big deal for me, as I can now enjoy a meal out without any worries of getting sick. My partner and I come here every week, and also bring our children during school breaks – they love it just as much as we do! Great job Team Kitchen, we'll be back soon!

We were greeted by friendly staff as we entered and they continued to be lovely throughout our visit. The food was good and it has lovely decor. This place has a really nice feel to it and I felt very relaxed and comfortable. I had eggs benedict and the poached eggs were perfect. And they use paper straws! Always a bonus! Our only issue is that the baguette for the sandwich was the type you get from a freezer pack rather than a fresh baguette, though it wasn't unpleasant. Other than that everything else was good, I'd definitely recommend you try here and we will be back soon!

My colleague and I have been working across from 'The Kitchen Cafe Bar' for the past two weeks, and we were delighted to discover this gem. We found ourselves visiting the cafe every day due to the incredibly friendly staff, the bustling atmosphere, and most importantly, the consistently amazing food. The cafe/diner/bar is well organized and I personally recommend it highly. Trust me, the 'The Works' breakfast is a must-try, even though it may be a bit pricier than your average greasy spoon breakfast, it is well worth every penny for the quality and portion size. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. Congratulations and thank you.
