Had a delivery from you and was very standard the sweet n sour prawn balls were over cooked and there was no beef in the sweet chilli beef but other than that it was ok

We had a lovely meal for our sons birthday, it was not to busy in the restaurant, the food was tasty and delicious and the service was outstanding. The food was a little pricey, but no different to all other establishments in Epping.

Went there Christmas Eve 2022. Booked for 7pm. They phoned and asked if we could go at 7.30pm. No worries. Table wasn't ready. By 9.15 we had only had our starters (out of a packet) and drinks (very expensive bottled beer). Their problem is that take-aways tale priority. Well, if that's the case, close the restaurant. We had to leave as we had other places to go. No apologies. Couldn't be bothered. However, spoken to a few people locally who will never go back for the same reason.

We have used The Swan Epping for a while . When ordering takeaway originally it was arriving within 20 minutes, over the last few months the service had deteriorated dramatically. Our order about one month ago took nearly two hours , and we were told one hour , today I was told 40 minutes and had to ring twice Before food turned after an hour and ten minutes . Food was nearly cold . When I rang I was told they only have one driver . If we had been told this At the beginning we might have understood the delay. The food is very good , but we are unlikely to use again due to ongoing issues with delivery .

Had dinner here with my mum and dad for the first time in a few years. Had a lovely meal!! Such a friendly place. We used to come here in the 1970s every week when I was a child, and I have such lovely memories of fantastic dinners here. Fast forward 40+ years, and I was visiting my parents and thought, “where to for dinner”? So we went to The Swan. Such a friendly welcome, and such nice people. I’m sure they’re different staff from the 1970s !!! but just as friendly, and the welcome was just as warm, and the dinner just as nice. Reasonably priced, too, still. We had a lovely dinner, and a lovely trip down memory Lane. Thanks The Swan a memorable evening. We’ll see you again very soon !!

The service is appalling. Waited over 1hr 40 mins for food with a 18 month old and a 3 year old. On booking even told wanted table back quickly which suited us then never served the food!! Had to leave as got too late served food in takeaway containers and still charged £80 and argued people want to be served slowly rather than simply apologising. On the food we took away with us was cold by time home and a criminal amount of salt on some dishes that was all could taste ended up binning it. Kid-friendliness Not even got a high chair this place is not somewhere to go with family that literally have no idea how to cater for families avoid.
