"Knowing that my family and I would be in Abergavenny around lunchtime prior to a walk up Sugar Loaf, I took the rare step of being prepared by looking up a tea shop that served cream teas with clotted cream (any civilised person would of course faint into their jam at the sight of whipped! and didn't close at 2pm (as if everyone's appetite sticks to a schedule . Meeting those requirements alone would have been enough to get a good review, but I was genuinely delighted by The Little Treat. From the moment we walked in, our every need was met. We thought we'd have trouble finding a table as the only one remaining was for 2 people (there were 4 of us , but the lovely gentleman behind the counter asked if we'd like that table and then immediately brought 2 extra chairs over and ensured that we were comfortably sat with menus ordering was prompt and correct. His colleague delivered our food and, when it became clear that there would be a slight delay in my daughter's order, brought over complimentary drinks. The food was excellent neither pretentious nor poor quality. Both our hosts were unfailingly polite, but sincerely so, and genuinely warm. The service alone was worthy of note if all catering establishments were like this then the world would be a happier place but the food left us all satisfied as well. I really look forward to next time we're in Abergavenny so we can visit again."

Came here because of high rating on Trip Advisor. Was OK but could do better. Service was very, very slow. Cook needs to learn that Welsh Rarebit is not the same as cheese on toast!

We originally planned to get some ice creams, however upon seeing the menu we decided to upgrade to milkshakes, and we did not regret the decision. Very friendly staff and highly recommended.

I recently enjoyed a delightful meal at this restaurant. The tea was served in a traditional pot with a diffuser and a beautiful china cup and saucer. I ordered a toasted sandwich with chicken, mozzarella, and pesto, which was a fantastic combination. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely be returning to dine here again. View menu

This restaurant is a hidden gem that offers simple yet perfectly cooked dishes made with quality ingredients. From the flavorful focaccia pizza to the delicious toasted sandwiches, every bite is a delight. The waffles and desserts are also worth trying. The service provided by the lady, who is likely the owner or manager, is lovely. Overall, this restaurant offers great value for a memorable dining experience.

We came across this little place whilst visiting Abergavenny and what a treat it was. The member of staff that served us was so lovely and helpful and our drinks and scones were delicious and beautifully presented. We had planned to visit one of a chain of well known coffee shops just down the road but were so glad that we went here instead. This was SO much better and a much more enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it.

Just called in for a quick lunch and we were delighted with what we found. A cosy little cafe with delicious homemade food and wonderful friendly hospitality. My husband had a Welsh rarebit which he said was perfect and I ordered a grilled sandwich which was equally good and both were served with fresh side salad. There was an array of homemade cakes on offer too and we shared a scrumptious piece of blueberry and white chocolate sponge. All in all a lovely lovely lunchtime experience thank you! View menu

Having been familiar and impressed with the Cosy Corner we decided to make the 30 mile trip to Abergavenny. On arrival we were met with apologies that the Little Bistro was closing early for training, when I explained we'd travelled specially, Taryn and staff made an immediate exception and re-opened especially for us, Wow, how lucky we were. The service and food that followed was as amazing as we remember from its origins at the Cosy Corner. Diolch yn fawr, Taryn and team. We'll definitely be back

we called in here initially as the board outside said they served loose leaf tea (my husband is a big fan) and we were not disappointed. I have a medical condition which means I struggle to control my temperature at times and this was one of them. I asked for some ice cold water and this was duly delivered and then a jug of ice cold water when I still couldn't cool down. This might not seem much in the big scheme of things but you would be surprised how many cafe would not be so accommodating. Anyway we were going out for a meal later in the evening so decided to have a light lunch and just order a sandwich. No complaints from us but there sandwiches are huge and come with crisps and salad a...
