"Sadly, not the menu it was. The new boring simplified menu is a shadow of its former self. Just ordinary unexciting pub food menu, some only adequately cooked, but totally lacking the interesting dishes of previous visits.only one bitter available. I had my doubts about the trend when I went there about three months ago, but now confirmed by my recent visit this week. Another good eating house has gone, I suspect, for good. Imagination is required if I and my friends, who think likewise, are to go there again."

Incredible food and perfect service! I’ve got loads of fond memories of The Manor Arms, but sadly not many from recent years, so thank you for turning this pub restaurant around! Quality shone through in every aspect!

Very overpriced! Visited with a friend, we had a couple of drinks 1 main meal and 1 starter only!! £70 No wonder the pub was quiet, far too expensive for what you get. No atmosphere. Where has our local busy pub gone? Sorry to say won't be going back.

Stayed for two nights, the room was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and tasty, yes there are parts that are a little tired but there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to upgrade all the rooms. Lovely grounds and can see when the sun shines is a very relaxing garden.

Have had such great fine dining meals here, mostly lunch, very important to us. Was a wow factor has become the same boring pub food served everywhere. SO disappointing. 3 of the mains were burgers, a pet hate. Sadly won't be coming back until decent chefs are reinstalled. Only 15 minutes from home so VERY sad.

We have recently started going back to The manor Arms after not going for quite some time. We have now been back multiple times over the past few months, since it’s been under new management. We have been for breakfast, dinner and Sunday lunch. We cannot fault it, the food has been of excellent quality and the staff have been lovely. We will be going back.

We live locally, so it’s great that The Manor appears to be back. Recently, we have been for Sunday Lunch the food was top drawer, service was really good, and the place was buzzing so had a great atmosphere. The new management appear to have it spot on as the staff seem well trained and friendly, and the atmosphere seems to be a lot happier. Sunday menu offers ‘non roast’ options as well, which is good. Long May it continue!

Wow. We are staying in the area for Christmas and wanted to lunch locally. I booked a table and arrived an hour early. The staff were amazing. So professional yet friendly. We ordered lunch, haddock chips and a Caesar salad. Both of us agreed it was the best lunch we’ve had for a long time. The Caesar was perfection. We finished with a coffee. The pub/hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. I would definitely return if in the area. Five stars
