"We had a delicious lunch here today. I had the steak and ale pie and Steve had the Sunday roast beef dinner. We both enjoyed a Sunday lunch out more than we have in years. The food itself was just great, well cooked and hot, but what was so unusual and what made the main course for us was something that doesn't happen, anywhere now, all the plates and serving dishes were hot, not barely aired, HOT. Just as they should be. A huge thank you. The beef in the pie was extremely tender and tasted delicious as did the pie crust. Steve's roast beef arrived pink/rare-med just as requested, the mashed potato was better than, but just like, homemade, with lovely cauliflower cheese, cabbage and leek, carrot and broccoli. Very friendly, experienced staff and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, what a find! I'm sure we'll return having recently moved to the area. P.S. apologies for the poor pic. Just snapped a quick one before we are the lot!"

Lovely pub in a small village. Cosy fire, very welcoming and a really nice landlord. An extensive menu which is not always a good thing but everyone in our party of 6 thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Would definitely recommend and would definitely call again.

Just had a lovely Saturday lunch with family, food was great, quality ingredients, the host was very friendly. This is a lovely traditional pub in the heart of some gorgeous countryside. We need to visit these little gems, if we can, in these difficult times or we will lose them forever...

We visited with friends staying with us over the weekend. We were all impressed with the menu choices and more importantly the quality of the dishes we chose. Fish chips, lamb shank, warm chicken salad, steak pie, calamari, garlic bread, fresh vegetables and more. Excellent service, friendly atmosphere, a very enjoyable evening had by all

The local pub is amazing, offering delicious food and a great selection of beers. It is definitely the best in the area, with a family-friendly atmosphere and something for everyone. The owners are welcoming and run a high-quality establishment. I highly recommend it for a casual meal, dinner, or Sunday Roast. Everyone should definitely give it a try! View menu

Called in on recommendation, as we were staying nearby. We received a warm and friendly reception from the staff and their service was exceptional throughout. The choice of food was excellent and our meal was both generous in portion and of fantastic quality. Highly recommended. Only problem is that we don't live closer, as I would be a regular customer!

We had been meaning to visit the Millbank Arms for a long time, but never got the chance until today. We are so glad we finally did. We had an amazing meal of Steak and Ale Pie and Beef Stroganoff, followed by a Milbank Mess dessert to share. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful, and the food was all of excellent quality. Thank you for a wonderful lunch. We will definitely be returning and will be bringing friends and family to try it out for themselves.

"We arrived here for a 2 night stay for a wedding (Fri sat night). PROS: Lynsey the manageress she 100% makes it so fabulous. Lovely, welcoming, looked after us brilliantly. Due to some staff shortages, she was doing what seemed like 10 jobs at once! We ate on one of the nights food was delicious! Great service tasty food. Breakfast was also spot on set us up brilliantly for the day ahead on the Saturday! The Willow room which we stayed in was fab ideal size, lovely cosy too! The whole 2 night stay was extremely reasonably priced the place itself has a great feel about it like a big cosy house! CONS: If you like total darkness, take an eye mask for sleeping as the rooms can get really bright from the early hours. Also, depending on the room, it’s on quite a busy road so can be quite nosy it would be worth having earplugs if you like a quiet surrounding. Due to staffing, the bar doesn’t stay open that late, so be mindful of this, they will however put drinks in your room if you can’t make it back in time for the bar closing. Taxis there are no local taxis, so arranging transport to the wedding we were attending was a nightmare which we didn’t account for! Luckily after 6 different phone calls, we managed to get sorted. The only gripe I had was the confusion over the bill if you decide to charge things to your room, the bills aren’t itemised so it’s difficult to keep track of what has been charged. There was some confusion on checkout over what we should shouldn’t have been charged for, so definitely choose to pay for any extras outright to avoid any confusion or uncertainty before check out. Other than that, it was one of the nicest, most personal stays we’ve had out in a long long time. This was mainly down to the Manageress Lynsey who is fabulous at her job really does make it feel like home makes you feel super welcomed relaxed. Thank you lynsey for really making a stay a one to remember."
