"Heard mixed reviews from locals since the change of ownership. Check the website out if you're looking for clues pretends to be in the heart of Lambourn but is six miles away. Lambourn spelt wrong. Smacks of chain/brewery take over. All style over substance. Need to find a decent butcher urgently sent the first sirloin back as it was mostly gristle. Second wasn't much better and for just £40! Plus infuriating 12.5% service charge. There are some decent Youngs pubs in London stick to those."

We had a number of dishes between us. All were tasty and well presented, with good quality local ingredients. Local real ale was very good as well.

Great place for a family lunch (with dogs clearly included and welcomed). Food was excellent. We were served by multiple people who were simultaneously super friendly and efficient. View menu

We had another wonderful dining experience at the pub/restaurant. The service was top-notch and they are very welcoming to dogs. Our furry companions felt right at home. We will definitely return in the future.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant for a family lunch, especially as a gluten-free vegetarian. The staff were incredibly accommodating and went out of their way to meet our needs. We had a puppy and young children with us, and they made sure we had a fantastic visit.

This restaurant is conveniently located just off the M4, yet it feels like a country getaway. It's bustling and pleasant with delicious food, especially the soup. There was a slight issue with ordering dessert, as the server was hard to understand, but it was quickly resolved when we paid. The large windows let in beautiful sunshine that brightened our winter day. View menu

Superb venue for a family gathering for Sunday Lunch. There were 19 of us so we needed to pay a deposit and pre-order which was no trouble. It was a very good roast too! The waitress Denisa was superb, catering for all our quirky needs and nothing was too much trouble. We all left very contented, full of yummy food and drink. Thank you for successfully helping us to celebrate Mums Birthday. I highly recommend this venue and will certainly be returning again

Met family for post christmas Sunday lunch . Great ambience. Staff were fantastic and incredibly obliging. We all , 10 , of us had a lovely time and were very reluctant to leave. Food was really good for the most part but 3 of us chose choc brownie dessert and were disappointed rest was lovely... roast beef was to die for. Would definitely book again and thoroughly recommend. Very small bar area though so defintely set up as restaurant Well done to the entire team.

"We came here on a Sunday afternoon for a Birthday dinner and was very disappointed. We have come here multiple times over the years and the service and food were always great. This time however was completely different. As soon as we arrived for our reservation we were met (eventually) by someone who I assume was the Manager, he went off to prepare our table and then did something else. We were left waiting in the entrance for nearly 10 minutes before someone else took us over. We were sat at the back of the place by ourselves and felt totally ignored the whole time. Probably because we had a baby and pushchair with us, whereas the table next to us that kept ordering wine got all the attention. The Manager was also joking with them about driving home which was not appropriate given how much they had all drank. We all ordered the rib eye steak as medium and all of us ended up with different cuts and variations of cooking. The rib eye was awful and none of us finished as it was fatty and full of gristle. We also asked 3 different people for water for the table and only when I stood up and found someone did we get any. When we were all done we were waiting for the bill which never came so we all got up and walked to the front counter. It should be pointed out that we could easily have walked out as most of the staff were sat around eating their dinner (one girl with her feet literally on the table). Unless this place gets much better service and food quality I would strongly suggest avoiding."
