"Or family had the pleasure of dining at Lebanese House yesterday (Saturday 7th January) for an evening meal, we were incredibly impressed by everything they had to offer. The restaurant is in a nice location in Newbury, it has nice views of the Weavers Walk courtyard and the restaurant itself looks classy and it appears to have been decorated with love. There is a large menu, so large in fact, my partner and I really struggled to choose so we decided to go for the set menu for two. All of the food was really excellent, all the meat was cooked to perfection and had a lovely smoky taste. We particularly liked the lamb chops and the kofta. The skewered chicken was also very good. The falafels were absolutely amazing, I could have eaten an entire plate of them, definitely the best we have ever tasted. The houmous was also brilliant, it went so well with all the lovely food, and the staff even brought out some extra bread for us to mop it all up with. We had a few cocktails which were made to perfection by the staff, I particularly liked my Zombie, I’d defiantly have that again. Their house wine was also very good. Then to the staff, every person that served us was excellent, we felt very welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them, we were even complimented on our dress sense, which I thought was very nice. This was some of the best service that we have had at a restaurant, especially from the lovely Susanne and Kila (really sorry if I got either of those names wrong, I didn’t write them down immediately, and I’d had a few by the time we left so may not have remembered correctly). They were both so nice and attentive and made us feel like VIP’s for our entire visit, they deserve recognition for their commitment to great customer service. Susanne even came out and took a photo of is all together which was very thoughtful. To sum up, excellent restaurant, brilliant food and drinks and an amazing staff team, highly recommend."

The food at this restaurant is exquisite. Omar is exceptional, very professional, and ensured my experience was delightful. I visit this restaurant for both lunch and dinner. On the 12th, I had the mixed grill twice because it was so delicious.

Quietly tucked away there is this vibrant restaurant with the most amazing middle Eastern food. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive, place was spotless with a stylish decor. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, my photos don't do it justice. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. We enjoyed the sea bass with salad and the lamb cubes with salad. The dishes were beautifully presented and the atmosphere was fantastic. We sat outside in Weavers Walk and Omar provided excellent service, making our experience even better. View menu

I absolutely love this restaurant! The fact that it is Halal is a huge plus for me. I was getting tired of eating seafood and vegetarian dishes while in Thatcham for work. The food here is deliciously flavorful and reasonably priced. The restaurant has an Egyptian vibe, and it turns out the owners are Egyptian but they serve Lebanese cuisine. The food is so tasty that I would definitely come back again.

Was told this was a good place to eat and we were not disappointed. We sat upstairs where the decor was fabulous and traditional looking. The food was amazing, can defo recommend the Set Menu for 4 of us Mixed Mezza, Mixed Grill and Baklawa. Our main waitress, bless her was very attentive and a really polite, cheerful and genuinely a lovely young lady. Shame we forgot to get her name. Would definitely go back.

We've walked past this restaurant so many times on our visits to the town centre and kept saying we needed to visit...finally did! Food was lovely, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Service was quick even though it got busy, we didn't feel it was reduced. I felt the portion sizes were reasonable, I note a few reviewers saying they were small but on our visit we didn't think this was the case and left full. Absolutely will return very soon! View menu

We arrived at a busy time of the evening. Suzanna quickly organized us a table outside. Our waitress was attentive but we did not feel rushed. Then order time arrived so many options sounded amazing, thankfully our waitress assisted us with our choices, which was a huge help. We weren’t steered wrong, the food was amazing, great portion sizes, well prepared and delicious the wine perfect. So thank you to Suzanna and the team. Perfect night out with friends

Lebanese house is located in the center of Newbury, just a couple of minutes away from the train station. The place is nice, especially if you can eat alfresco. When it comes to food, Lebanese offers a good selection of grilled meats and Lebanese dishes. Food is delicios and ingredients are fresh. Portions are a bit small, but it is okay. When it comes to drinks, they have a generic selection of wines and beers. I ordered the Lebanese beer they had and it was good. Staff is really nice and friendly. However, the reason of my 3 stars is the service. They were extremely slow to serve food. We ordered a mixed grill for two, and it took them 45 minutes. I could understand it if the place was bus...

"Went here to celebrate a couple of friends birthdays and had a very mixed evening. It was a Monday night so it was quiet and we were one of only a handful of tables. We were a party of four and there were no tables any larger than ours in that evening. We were seated quickly and that was about the one and only thing that happened all night with any kind of urgency. Our orders were taken and we were waiting 20 minutes or more for our first round of drinks. About half way through this, we were informed that three of the four meals we had ordered were sold out (something you'd think we'd have been informed of at the time of ordering . We thought we could quench our thirst with some water whilst waiting for our drinks but sadly no one ever came over to refill our glasses. When the food finally arrived it was delicious and I couldn't fault it at all (even if it wasn't my first choice on the menu! , so that made up for lack of service. We ordered a dessert each although only 3 of them arrived. My friend had to ask for her coffee which also didn't have any signs of showing and then when her dessert didn't show she just gave up on it (it was never put through the system . I ordered a glass of red wine, specifying the wine and was given a glass of what I assume was house red at least I wasn't mis charged for it as it was cheaper than the one I ordered! Even paying the bill was an ordeal, taking us a while to get it and then having to go through line by line to see if any of the food we ordered and didn't get hadn't been taken off (there was one additional meal on the bill . All in all a bit of a shambles but at least the delicious food and the wonderful company meant it didn't dampen our evening too much. Don't think I'd come back on a quiet night again, seems the service staff take it as a sign to disappear."
