"Been going here for a few years, meals usually good. Not sure what happened, but on Wednesday we went for a meal around 7pm,pub was quiet, not many in. Ordered mixed grill and a gammon meal. Peas were dried out, steak inedible, too chewy, each bite needed ten minutes to chew each bite… so left the rest of it. The sausage seemed overcooked and was very hard, leftover from yesterday? Tiny pineapple ring, did not know they came that small. The gammon on the gammon meal was very thin too. The chips were the only thing that seemed well cooked. Nobody came during meal and asked if eberything was ok, and it took a long while for anybody to collect the plates, and when they did, they did not ask if we enjoyed it or not, maybe they could tell from our expressions? Both of us had the feeling we would not come back there for a meal again, at least for a long while."

When with family for evening meal to celebrate a birthday, the staff were very cheerful , gave us table service as we were a big party, food arrived quickly and was hot, would like to say thank you to George and Claire for looking after us you made the evening relaxed and very enjoyable.
