"My wife and I visited The Plough earlier this week, despite it being a bit of a drive from our home in Hazlemere near High Wycombe. We first discovered this gem of a pub last year when we stopped in for a drink and a Ploughmans while out for a drive. The pub has a fantastic garden area with plenty of seating, and the beer selection was impressive. They also offer a variety of non-alcoholic drinks and gin for those who are driving. The menu is extensive with a good selection of traditional pub dishes. We opted to dine in the garden, but the interior of the restaurant also looked nice. The Ploughmans we had during our first visit was so delicious that we decided to return, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and reasonably priced, with the Ploughmans costing £8.95 and including cheddar, stilton, ham, boiled egg, warm baguette, salad, and pickle. We are already planning to return soon to try out the restaurant. For those who have not yet visited The Plough, I highly recommend giving it a try. They even have a chip menu! I will definitely be a return customer."

Beautiful traditional pub that doesn't rip you off for a pint of beer. No complaints at all

I went there for a roast meal on Sunday as we had been before but found the veg very hard and the beef was a bit tough. It used to be alright but might have been a one off.

Great place for a lovely country lunch. Food was really good quality both meat and my daughter’s veg/vegan halloumi wrap. Great selection of traditional ales kept really well.

This village pub is fantastic and checks all the boxes. The food is wonderful, with a great selection of drinks to pair with it, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's exactly what a pub should be. View menu

Excellent Sunday lunch. Friendly and attentive service, restaurant and bar alike. What a fantastic change to be able. To visit this homely and friendly pub is a must. Real ales and home cooked food.

We popped into The Plough when passing what a wonderful surprise we got! The place was packed but we were greeted with a warm welcome. The food was superb, the beer well kept both very reasonably priced. The supersonic bar lady/ waitress managed to make everyone feel special despite being run off her feet. We will definitely be back

What has happened to this once wonderful pub? The food took forever to come when it did it was so salty, the plates were cold the chips were dripping oil. The sausages were very poor quality. The portion sizes were much smaller than they used to be but were much more expensive. I think they are trying to be more fancy but it’s not working View menu

The restaurant recently underwent a change in management and hired a new chef. Intrigued, my family and I decided to try it out for Sunday lunch. The Scotch egg was delicious. The roast beef, slow roast pork, and vegetarian Sunday dinners were all fantastic, served with fresh vegetables and Yorkshire puddings. The desserts, including fruit crumble, cheesecake, and tiramisu, were also a hit.

We recently went to this pub for lunch and it was really delicious. My husband had mackerel which had come straight from the Solent. I had the £10 for courses option and I couldn’t believe the amount of food that was in front of me. The chef is Swedish and there are dishes from her country as well as traditional pub grub. My two courses consisted of a traditional Swedish dish followed by chocolate brownie which was just wonderful. If you want to experience some really good home cooking then go and sample this little gem. Can’t wait to go back.
