"We used to enjoy walking to the Prince of Wales for a drink and a meal. However, it seems that the restaurant is now under new management and the quality has significantly declined. The outdoor area was messy with no tables on the grass, and the food was practically inedible. The garlic bread seemed barely cooked, the pie and mash were unpleasant with strange things floating in the gravy, and my wife's jacket potato was green and topped with supposed pulled pork. It is clear that the menu is now mass-produced and lacks any quality. Fullers seems to have overlooked the fact that this pub is now the only one in a wealthy area. We wasted £30 on this disappointing experience and will not be returning. We recommend avoiding this place at all costs, as it is empty even on a sunny Friday lunchtime."

After enjoying excellent fish and chips in the summer we ordered a takeaway Sunday lunch in October. Thought the beef was nothing short of excellent and will definitely return.

I was blown away by the amazing lobster salad at this restaurant. It was unbelievably delicious. Paired with a chilled glass of Picpoul de Pinet, it made for a wonderful lunch. We will definitely be returning!

Very nice landlord. Quietly sociable helpful and friendly. Also funny) . Arrived in Westcott to do a local walk and started with coffee and came back for lunch. Superb grilled haddock . Proper pub with locals using it ! Definitely worth a visit! View menu

We were staying nearby and walked to the pub for dinner after a long car journey. The staff were friendly and very welcoming (as were the locals! . Our food was good, tasty, hot and good quality and there was plenty of it. Really happy to find such a good place to eat so close to our accommodation!

My family and I recently visited the Prince of Wales in Westcott, Dorking, to try out their new pub menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The lamb shanks and chicken burger were both delicious. The service was also excellent. Overall, we had a great experience at the Prince of Wales. View menu

I wanted to make use of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Unfortunately, the pompous young bartender informed us that the discount only applies if you order a meal. He insisted that simply dining in with soft drinks and snacks does not qualify. Contrary to his statement, UK government guidance states that the discount can be applied to soft drinks and/or packaged snacks as long as they are intended for immediate consumption on the premises.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this charming restaurant. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was clean and peaceful. We opted to sit outside on the cozy balcony and were promptly attended to by attentive family members. I enjoyed the most delicious roast pork with perfectly cooked vegetables and incredibly tasty roast potatoes. Despite feeling full, I couldn't resist finishing the amazing creme brûlée. This delightful pub is a must-visit, and the family who runs it are a delight. I hope they stay in business for a long time. I will definitely be returning from Bristol. Thank you for a perfect dining experience.
