"The atmosphere was friendly and the service was excellent. I had a perfectly nice pub lunch (puffed pastry over beef with peas and chips) and a pint of local ale. As a tourist, I went in looking for a good English pub experience and left happy and satisfied. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

in a city with more than its fair share of pubs this was the one that turned out to be more of a local pub, good eating, decent beer and cheap for the opposite, personal were really friendly, overall a large small pub that I will visit again when I am in the city.

"I had been in this pub for a while, but my family and I were on the way from cheltenham to Westonbirt at 17 o'clock and called for an early dinner. all four of us said that the meal was faultless, we enjoyed all three courses and cannot praise this place enough. such a great atmosphere, cordial greeting from the incredibly fabulous staff and a seat directly at the log tariff. what more can they demand. it is easy to find, beautiful location and has plenty of parking right next to the pub. in summer there is a large garden back. in februar this is the place to eat when they go to visit the colesbourne snowdrop gardens that are right in front of the house and not to miss. the menu at the colesbourne inn is huge and offers for everyone something wonderful, regardless of their taste or nutrition to choose. my calamari ‘Bar Bite’ size starter was superb and definitiw a greater part than we expected. the other appetizers, a black bell and black pudding with fried egg was superb as well as the bread selection we also ordered. mostly fish Pie....only full of a lot of different fish and whistle fish. my son had the steak and ale pier he claimed he was the best he had eaten in a very long time. two of us had the nut roast dinner.... I want my Christmas dinner to be as good as that. desserts of fruit crumbs and custard finished the meal with the obligatory glass or two of fizz. for each device in these times to offer this incredible selection of oriented, which is an absolute credit for them by the most kind of employees ever and the very high standards they did. highly recommended at any level possible. well made the colesbourne inn"
