The Red Cow - Menu

Just returned from an epic meal here! The chicken curry is to die for! Beautifully presented too with plenty of accompanying sides. This has to be the best place to eat on Aberdare, no arguments!

Visited the Red Cow with my family for Sunday Lunch to celebrate my nephew’s confirmation… the lunch was absolutely delicious with plenty provided and the service was fantastic .. 100% recommended

Have visited this lovely bar/restaurant on a few occasions lately and every meal has been great. We have tried the gammon, steak pie, curry, and lamb. Steak pie is the best I’ve ever had. Real homemade chips too which is always a bonus. View menu

During our stay in Cwmbach, we went for a stroll along the old railway line and stopped by The Red Cow for a drink and a meal. Despite having a private function and being quite busy, they were still able to accommodate us. The food was delicious, and the staff was very kind and welcoming. Additionally, the pub is dog-friendly.

I visited this restaurant last week and even though food service had not started yet, the bartender was very kind and made us some chips. It was a nice gesture and showed that this is a great pub to visit. The scenery was also very picturesque. I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. The beers on tap were also quite good.

A party of 3 of us had a wonderful lunch. We had gammon, pork ribs and the curry followed by lemon cheesecake. The portions were generous, well presented and full of flavor. We were fortunate to say a thank you to the chef who was immaculate. I highly recommend the restaurant where the staff were attentive and friendly. We will certainly be visiting again. View menu

A gorgeous, welcoming, friendly village pub! Came here for a meal over the Christmas period and must rate the food nothing less than 5*. We had starters and desserts and the portion sizes were fantastic. So much value for your money. Have returned since for Sunday lunch in January 2024 and was really pleased with the standard of our food. Extra points for giving every person their own gravy!

We stopped for lunch, the pub was busy with a friendly atmosphere,clean bright and well looked after. We got drinks and the food menu, we were warned that they were busy and there would be a delay with the food. There was a slight delay but nothing more than other eateries and the pre warning was great to manage our expectations. The food was amazing 10/10, hot, a good serving size and fantastic quality. In short The Red Cow staff both front of house and behind the scenes did an outstanding job I would return again when in the area.

I have frequented this pub on multiple occasions during the week and for Sunday lunch, and the food is consistently fantastic with generous portions. The pricing offers great value for money. However, it can be a challenge to grab the staff's attention at the bar when it is busy with customers sitting there. I understand the appeal of sitting at the bar, but during crowded weekends, I believe customers should be encouraged to keep the area clear since it is small. Despite this minor issue, it will not deter me from coming back to this establishment. View menu
