The wife and myself completely enjoyed our meal. The food was amazing and will definitely be going back. Compliments to all the staff, again outstanding

The food at this restaurant is fantastic and the staff are wonderful. My only suggestion would be to update the website to better showcase this hidden gem.

The food was delicious and the lady who served us couldn't of been any nicer, nothing was too much trouble. The pub is quirky and cute and had a lovely feel to it. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again hopefully.

My friends and I had a fantastic night at The Scared Crow celebrating my birthday. We were made to feel very welcome and made some great new friends. Thanks to all the team there for the delicious food and for keeping our glasses full. We stumbled onto this pub/restaurant by chance and so glad we did. I highly recommend this little gem

My first visit to the scared crow, what a pleasant surprise. We shared a quarter kilo burger, it was delicious. A proper beef burger where you can taste the meat. The fries were perfect and the large side salad was fresh and delicious. For dessert, a huge slab of very tasty warm fresh chocolate fudge cake, with 2 scoops of decent ice cream, really superb. Well kept Marston's pedigree to wash it down.

I went here with some friends for a birthday dinner and excitedly ordered the fajitas as I had been looking forward to having them since we made the booking. What arrived was a skillet of chicken on a bed of raw onions and dips. I asked the waitress to take my order back to the kitchen and ask the chef to cook the onions, she returned a minute later and told me that he had said no as he was too busy!

Booked a table for four, on daughters recommendation, ahead of a Sunday evening cinema trip. Orders were taken promptly, food delivered hot and exactly as ordered. Starters and all of the main meals were excellent, arrived hot, well presented and home made. Everything was spot on and nothing too much trouble, even provided a pizza box to take the left overs home. Completely recommend and can't believe we hadn't been before now, we will definitely be back. Great value too.

It was a bit of a challenge to find parking, which was a frustrating way to start our visit. Despite being tucked away, the pub was quite popular. The atmosphere had a cozy, traditional feel. The waitress was welcoming and quick with our orders. The menu had a wide variety of options to suit all preferences, and the blue cheese pizza was absolutely scrumptious. However, the drink prices were on the expensive side. Overall, we had a positive experience and would definitely come back again.

We booked a table for 7pm after a challenging three-hour drive that should have only taken 25 minutes. Despite the journey, we couldn't find any faults with this lovely pub. The staff were wonderful and accommodating. Our party of 10 had two sittings - the first group of 8 who lived closer arrived and had their dinner while ours was done upon our arrival. The staff were caring and polite, and we half-expected to be told that we had missed our dinner. However, it was actually cooked as soon as we arrived. Well done to all involved! xx
