"we were greeted by the waitress and said: β€œYou have pulled the short today, I will serve you.” I am sure she tried to be amusing, but it was not a very inviting start. we ordered the brie in panko crumbs, although it didn't resemble any...panko I ate. it was also cold. the main course came hotter than the sun, including the metal-handed soße jug, which my man burned his hand. that was all cooked. there are many good restaurants in lymington and, according to my opinion, this is not one of them."

the location at the town quay is perfect and eating is good and cheap, but its biggest good is its staff. jack has made us very welcome and supervised us during our visit.

This restaurant is a gastro-pub, and while the food is part of a chain (the same menu as The Ashton in Bristol), they offer a variety of vegan options for each course. The food is delicious.

Would definitely recommend for mixed groups. Got a great separate vegan menu with some really nice vegan deserts that aren’t the usual sorbet! The restaurant has a nice laid back atmosphere and friendly staff View menu

There is a separate vegan menu available, however, you can also find vegan options listed on the regular menu. I ordered the nourish bowl with added falafels, and for dessert, I had a delicious chocolate millionaire bar with ice cream. There is a good variety of vegan choices available.

Their vegan menu had a choice of 2 starters, 4 mains, 2 desserts. I had the mushroom starter followed by the nourish bowl. Both delicious and beautifully presented. Would highly recommend this gastropub. Great setting and lovely decor. The Covid rules were sensitively handled and made for a very pleasant dining experience.

We made a reservation for the bank holiday weekend, but the restaurant was so spacious that there were extra tables available. There were a few vegan options on the menu. My wife ordered the massaman curry and I went with the nourish bowl. We decided to share so we could taste both dishes. We both enjoyed our meals. For dessert, I tried the billionaire bar, which had a cake base instead of a biscuit. It wasn't what I was anticipating, but it was still delicious.

"I visited here last week as a birthday present and wow, what an amazing place. It was run by a very small team but it worked perfectly. The decor was simple but equally very stylish, without looking flash or poncy, and the David White painting on the wall of the Great white shark that sparkled in the light was absolutely amazing (I really want one) We both had the tasting menu and I had the wine pairing too, for an extra Β£35, it was an absolute bargain and I would highly recommend. The food was superb, we had no idea what we would be getting as the menu changes seasonally but they double checked if there was anything we didn't like before starting the courses and then we were off. We've eaten in quite a few michellin star restaurants now and there's usually always one dish that one of us isn't keen on, not this time. Genuinely cannot fault the food one bit, some of the dishes/drinks played tricks with your senses too, I really enjoyed the sherbert fountain with liquorice ice cream. Had a good chat with David and the team and we both loved the ethos and style of the restaurant. There wasn't an ounce of snobbishness here, you could wear shorts and a T-Shirt and feel comfortable, equally, you could get dressed up and also not feel over dressed due to the superb way in which they've styled the place. Would I recommend this place to friends, 100%. Would I visit again, absolutely, we are planning to go back later in the year. I would also highly recommend buying the cook book, it's one of the best books we have at home and gives you some great starting blocks to create your own dishes. Keep up the great work team"
