"Popped in to the Ship Inn today for a bit of lunch as we are holidaying here. I ordered the hoisin duck salad and the chocolate bomb. I don't usually have salad but I do like hoisin duck so I thought I would give it...a go. It was made by Sean and it was the BEST salad I have ever tasted. I followed up with the chocolate bomb and my taste buds were once again put on overdrive however, you do need a very sweet tooth to be able to enjoy this as much as I did. If you are watching your weight, blood sugars or cholesterol, I would not recommended this dish but if not, go ahead and indulge it is well worth it. Sean is obviously an amazing chef as I never thought I would enjoy salad as anything more than a side dish but your duck salad is beyond superb. Thank you for a very yummy lunch."

the location at the town quay is perfect and eating is good and cheap, but its biggest good is its staff. jack has made us very welcome and supervised us during our visit.

My husband I stopped here for lunch with our 2 dogs whilst visiting Lymington for the day. The staff were friendly efficient the collection of starters we had were very tasty.

friendly, helpful staff and very good service. good selection of meals in the offer and beautiful interieur. the food was well presented and delicious. good choice of weeping and ales (from cornwall, but that is not bad thing.)

Popped in here for a pre-dinner drink lovely views from the decking outside. Staff and service lovely. Sadly the ladies toilet was in quite a state and this was at 5pm on a Saturday night! Didn't put us off, though, we had post-dinner...drinks there, too. Will definitely return.

one of the few places where we could find open food and drinks all day. delicious food to very cheap trips. the crispy duck pizza was unusual and tasty and my friend enjoyed the salmon and was thrilled to find they had halloumi fries on. the menu. nice, friendly staff with good service.

we were greeted by the waitress and said: “You have pulled the short today, I will serve you.” I am sure she tried to be amusing, but it was not a very inviting start. we ordered the brie in panko crumbs, although it didn't resemble any...panko I ate. it was also cold. the main course came hotter than the sun, including the metal-handed soße jug, which my man burned his hand. that was all cooked. there are many good restaurants in lymington and, according to my opinion, this is not one of them.
