"What a lovely time we had here on Thursday 26th October when we stopped for lunch during a short break to Arran. We loved the venue, right on the shore, with amazing views and the whole atmosphere was just so friendly, warm and welcoming. A huge thank you to Sam and Tracy for their greeting and most attentive service and for taking the time to chat to us, despite being very busy. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and well presented: a good sized bowl of roast vegetable soup and a tasty cheese toastie with homemade onion marmalade a big thank you to chef Adam and to Curtis). Sadly we had no room for any of the home baking but look forward to the tempting cakes when we return next summer. Can highly recommend for the food and the lovely friendly atmosphere!"

What a lovely welcoming place. We had coffee and cake. They brought out water and biscuits for our little dog.

The BYOB night at this restaurant was a success. The food was both well-prepared and delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. Any minor confusion with our order was quickly resolved to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

This café is delightful! The service was quick and the food was amazing. I ordered the Cullen skink with a delicious homemade cheese scone, while my husband enjoyed a delectable veggie burger. We sat outside with our dog and were warmly welcomed, all while taking in the breathtaking view of Holy Island.

Great location; amazing see views; consistently good service; consistent good, simple home style cooking. Have visited multiple times this May, June and July, for just coffee and cake and also lunch. Check their opening hours, as we assumed they’d be open mornings during the summer season. They open midday and think they close two days mid-week. Worth a visit.

Our 3rd visit to the Shore in the last 12 months. Its quickly becoming one of our 'go to ' places when we come to Arran. This time we sampled the toasted sandwiches all delicious and accompanied by salad, coleslaw and chips, washed down with a free fiery ginger beer. Lemon drizzle cake to follow was light and flavoursome. Looking forward to being back on Arran before too long and we 'll be heading to the Shore....keep up the good work.

The burger at this restaurant is of high quality. They offer simple, fresh toasties and a nice selection of homemade cakes, including a delicious lemon loaf, lovely coffee cake, and nutella cake. The tables outside are located right by the beach, creating a nice atmosphere. The staff are pleasant, with one particular member being especially cheery and welcoming. This restaurant is worth a visit, although it may be closed in the mornings.

Came here for a birthday meal and was blown away. We provided the staff with a cake and birthday banners prior to arriving and they helped decorate the table and provided the cake at the end of the meal. We each had 2 courses and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I had the pork and it was simply delicious, everything was cooked perfectly. The setting is idillic right on the sea front and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. I’ll certainly return!

What a find and a must visit if you are on Arran. The location is brilliant we sat outside on the decking right by the sea but they also offer tables inside. Dog friendly and also very accommodating staff. They were very busy when we first arrived so we asked about taking away but the lovely kind staff created space for us by adding an extra table outside, top class service that you don't get much these days. The food was also amazing and the lemon drizzle cake is a must!!! Highly recommend visiting this lovely place and there is also a little wool/craft shop nearby to take home some little keep sakes.

We visited the Shore for a bring your own evening when we were on holiday in Arran. Lovely position overlooking the beach, very good atmosphere, service was great, the two young women running the front of house did an excellent job given the number of tables! Food was very good we had the arancini starter, pork in a cider sauce (with plain mash obligingly substituted for black pudding mash), and the fish pie. Followed by the crème brûlée and ice creams. Being able to take our own wine was a real positive. Portions could have been a little bigger that’s the only slight query but all in all a really decent experience.

"Magic sea. we went about 6 months ago after fins had threatened for years. that was worth waiting for us to arrive a little early before they had changed the prices on the boards, that was lucky because they had the decision to offer us the meal times at the price at the arrival, result. to every way back to the foods that the woman had the scalopps and black pudding and I had the langoustines. I was a little confused by the cutlery laid in front of me, pliers and a funny fork, but it was good when I asked the waitress what I should do with it and she showed me pretty happy. the scallops were amazing and it was that really beautiful black pudding so a great start for them. what had done me well, I had never eaten longoustine before, but I had to go right in and it was a great experience and the taste was just beautiful. large mmmm in our bauch. the most important courses were turbot for me and the missus chose the sea bass. the food was beautifully presented and it was smaller that I thought it was, but I had never eaten somewhere in that posh before. Anyway, both can have beautiful vegien and we both came into them and we were not dissappointed it was perfectly cooked. the turbot was the softest spruce I've ever had and the taste was amazing. the sea bass came with I think noodles and she loved it. everything was beautiful and relaxed and none of the unem emphasized that you sometimes find when you can be a little bit on yourself in the leading restaurants, but here it was not at all. about all this was a nice place to eat, a wee bit expensive but they get great service and beautiful environment. dylan"
