"What a lovely country pub. The interior was such a surprise restaurant was decorated like a Tudor banqueting hall very grand. The staff were very friendly and helpful and attentive enough for us to feel well looked after. The food was freshly cooked, with good quality ingredients, served hot and tasted delicious. Fantastic food we had a selection of starters and mains everyone enjoyed the food Duck rolls and sticky chicken bites went down very well and the American beef burger was loved for the teenagers in the group

First time here but definitely not the last. The service, food and surroundings were excellent. Waited 15- 20 about minutes for food which was fine because the seabass was beautiful. I cant wait to go again.

Food was good. Deserts way overpriced. Noise level from one group was ridiculous. Management please note: you can ask people to quiet down. I appreciate they were celebrating a birthday, but there are other diners present that wanted a nice meal and a chat, meal was nice but chat was difficult.

Cold food, no condiments, dry food, tables being moved round in preparation for the next days arrangements, over priced, ran out of food we ordered on the menu. Main course came out 1 min after finishing starters. Poor overall . Bread not toasted for pate dish. No butter. Awful . Would not recommend

Food for our party of 4 was varied- from a really excellent dolcelatte chicken with chorizo risotto main course, to very tough lamb and mediocre desserts. Disappointed with gin selection- it used to be excellent, but if you don’t like flavoured gins, there was only a couple of choices. Good selection of draft beers. Very pleasant atmosphere.
