"We visited for the first time on the 30th October 2021, despite having been on the list of places to visit for over a decade, we finally made it there as a family that weekend. After other family had beaten us to it and said it would be the type of place we like visiting and reading reviews online too, it did seem to be the type of place we would like and we were not disappointed. What a lovely surprise. It was fabulous. Such a delight. Besides the wonderful meals in the tearoom/restaurant, there were gifts and treats to enjoy in the shop. No, lets the start with the meals in the restaurant: I had the Gourmet Burger, which was a great meal, a great filling up meal, The burger in a bun was packed with cheese and a branston-type pickle, which had a nice kick to it. The meal also included fries and a salad. It was delicious. The cakes (of which I'm rather partial looked delicious, but I was full. It's a lovely restaurant. Can't wait to have the next meal there. We are definitely visiting again, we visited on the 31 October and my birthday is the 2nd November and we were deliberating whether to go back to Silverwood Tearoom on my birthday instead of the planned place. That's how good it was. The family enjoyed their meals too. Now, back on to the shop part of Silverwood. What a delight. From home-crafted products to ornaments and garden-ware such as a bird table , the home-crafted items were more to my taste so I'll talk about them first. The knitted toys, which facially reminded me of Fred (from the Homepride ads of yesteryear-Remember them? were so sweet and I would have bought the lot if I'd had the money with me, and some gorgeous crochet cushion covers in the next room along had my eye. Silverwood is amazing. It's an Aladdin's Cave (or a TARDIS , because it appears to be bigger inside than out. There are so many wonderful things here I cannot mention them all but I will say that there are so many delights that I managed to find an early Birthday present there too. Can't wait to get back."

Enjoyed this place when it was Yesteryear but have to say I like it even more now it has been updated with all new decor and owners. The food is just as good as before but a little more expensive. Well worth a visit.

On our way home from Norfolk to Leeds we stumbled across this tea room, from the outside it does look much more than garden shop. Once inside there’s and array of gifts and unique furniture some bric-à-brac too. We had a browse around. The tea...

My wife and myself came in today and had a wonderful Christmas meal just like Mum used to make. Very tasty lots of turkey, a variety of veg, big yorkies, lovely roast potatoes, plenty of gravy and a great Christmas pud after. Very comfortable and Christmassey in the Tearoom and such friendly, smashing staff. Make sure you go when you're hungry You certainly won't be disappointed

We have not been for a few months owing to the pandemic, well what a nasty surprise. We went today and, first thing is the Tearoom has been moved, to a much larger room, no atmosphere awful food, and we asked for an Americano with Cream, we dont do cream she said. We thought the prices were much too high too, a Cream tea?? yes cream, for one is £17.00 Such a shame, does anybody know what happened there.

We decided to have some lunch after Christmas shopping in the garden centre, we noticed they had tea room and always wanted to try it. The staff were very attentive friendly and recommend some lovely food to try. The portions are really good size. The lady said she's like to see some food left over rather than you go away hungry. The food was so tasty and proper home cooked style. We were too full to try the desserts but they looked tasty too.

Myself, my wife, and my mother in law have been a few times for lunch and breakfast. All meals were amazing. The hotdog isn't even a hot dog, its a megadog! The breakfast was cooked perfectly to my liking. When a meal came with an ingredient my mother in law couldnt eat, the staff were more than happy to change it! Wonderful staff and an amazing atmosphere. Will definitely reccomend this place to my wonderful relatives when they take their loved ones out for dinner.

Myself a friend stopped off at Silverwood cafe! We had a look round the garden centre other shops, quiet at the time! We decided to have the breakfast on our visit, the food was mediocre, the server was very polite jolly! Unfortunately while we were sat in the restaurant, our visit was disturbed by loud foul language, only can assume from the kitchen. I really do not appreciate visiting a cafe to hear swearing while I try to enjoy my food. As for visiting again, I shall not!

"We've been here a couple of times before and it's been great, however our latest visit was not a great experience. Portions were small, presentation wasn't anything special, looked like meals I could of in nocked up myself as a quick tea at home, nothing special at all, certainly didn't look like a restaurant dining experience. Also, never come across a restaurant that stipulates on the menu if you want steak they need 48 hours notice! And even if they do, they should tell people when they book in as we had 2 of our party very disappointed on the night. The whole dining experience was also ruined by a group of loud, drunk locals sitting in the dining area and talking and swearing at the top of their voices so we couldn't even hear ourselves having a conversation. If people have paid for a dining experience no matter how bad that was, they should not have to put up with a table full of loud, swearing locals who were just there for the drink, keep the two things separate! Really dark and dingy in the restaurant, we struggled to read the menu due to how badly lit it was. The waitress started the evening by telling us what wasn't available off the menu, which in itself seemed odd at the beginning of the weekend to of already run out of so much. Needless to say this one bad experience overshadows previous good ones, it looks like the place has gone down hill, we won't be back! Must say though this is by no means a reflection of the staff they were lovely, it's on the owners!"
