"4 stars for the pub enjoyed the food (though on the higher side price wise) service very friendly but could have been more attentive. 3 stars is for the camping we had people on the pitch we had booked but saw there was plenty of space on the road side of the field and as the member of staff told us it wasn’t a busy road we camped there spent the whole night being woken up regularly by cars speeding past. No paper in loos had to use paper towels. At £30 for 2 people for a night not cheap. Avoid road side pitches unless you are a very heavy sleeper"

"Stayed at the campsite last weekend with my wife and son. We booked via the Pitchup website, where my wife left an honest review of our stay. The Blue Ship then disputed the review as being a 'fictitious guest ' which was laughable when she included photos from that weekend which included dated signs specific to the couple of days we visited and the booking was obviously on Pitchup 's system since it was made through them. It feels like a very dishonest practice to have reviews removed just because you don 't like them or because they aren 't 100% positive. The points my Wife made aligned with those of other guests, and the venue also argued with those customers so it seems they just don 't like receiving negative feedback but aren 't willing to improve the faults that customers report. The campsite is slightly expensive compared with others we 've stayed at and the facilities weren 't as good here, there are much more expensive places to stay, of course, but for the price paid you can almost certainly do better elsewhere and after the way the staff have unfortunately acted towards us via Pitchup we definitely won 't be spending our money with them again!"

"The restaurant was decent, but the pub atmosphere felt worn out. The menu was not very exciting, and the burger and chips were definitely overpriced at £16 considering the portion size. The presentation was lacking, with the burger looking lonely on the plate. The patty was tasty but let down by cold lettuce, which seemed to have come straight out of the fridge. I initially thought the patty was undercooked, but it was actually just the cold ingredients in the burger. I realized later that I was charged a service charge even though I ordered at the bar and paid upfront. The total bill came to £42 for a burger and chips, ribs and chips, a pint of orange and lemonade, and a pint of tap water."

"last night had a great meal at the fox. I can't believe we haven't eaten here yet, and it's literally just the road done. the T-Knochen steak was one of the best I ever had and perfectly accompanied with unusual sweetness. also desserts 5*. the personal is attentive. atmosphere perfect. as a local host I will recommend the fox to all guests. Thank you!"

"beautiful country pub. we went for a Sunday roast and it was nice. good selection of vegetables and the potatoes were cooked exactly right. was too full of dessert, but waited a bit and then managed to squeeze into a few delicious warm chocolate brownie with ice! darren, jonnie and the team were all brilliant thanks. will be returned x"
