"a two-day break in this famous Roman city wall and on an ice cold afternoon my twin brother stepped and I decided to fall into this big wetherspoon pub, a pub I had for many years. I love the look of this pub, a great interieur, typical wetherspoon decor and furniture, an island style can be served and many sitting possibilities in this pub, a really good pub in the did. we were here on a Wednesday afternoon, pub was busy with a big atmosphere, we luckily managed to get a table, I ordered on the bar and we both decided to have a pizza and every one pizza was huge, steaming hot, a crispy crust, a very generous topping and beautifully spiced, a perfect pizza with our delicious ale’s washed out. we enjoyed our meal very much and here is everything before we are on and as with any other visit in the square bottle pub we had a great time. the square bottle pub is easy to find along foregate street. Opening times are;Monday to Thursday,8 clock until midnight. Friday Saturday, 8 o'clock to 1 o'clock Sunday, 8 o'clock to midnight. a wonderful wetherspoon pub, most certainly good to check whether they are in the opposite."

Only popped in for a couple of beers after having a wander around Chester. Service was very fast by Wetherspoon standards so I really can't complain.

Typical Wetherspoons and hard to find fault. The food was as described and nicely cooked, was good value for money and the staff were pleasant and helpful The real ales were excellent.

Nice day out, food was average, staff were polite just what you would expect from a Wetherspoons, the location is perfect for exploring all of chester and their smoking area is right out the front so you can really watch the world go by with...the 2 for 1 cocktails

I enjoyed a full English breakfast with gluten-free sausage, hash browns, and toast. The staff informed me that they have a designated gluten-free area in the kitchen, as well as separate toaster and fryer. The staff were very well-informed and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced.

visited Wednesday afternoon. dead busy, but only one table in the window. 2 x paninis, coleslaw and chips. and 2 drinks for £13.48 can't go wrong? personal very pleasant. space could be a bit cleaner. dead central for chester. used app to order and drink then the food came quite fast, despite place full. I always judge Wetherspoons against other pubs in this chain, this one was pretty average compared to others, though a little tired. Good value drinks, cheap and cheerful food menu (though prices have risen in the current climate and ending of the VAT reduction) it...still represents value, food arrived fairly quickly, was hot and enjoyable.

I have just came into this pub for a couple of beers and there were a few groups been a little loud they were not bothering anbody just having fun but the staff would not serve them anymore drinks but they would let them eat...the stack off food they orderd these people would have been spending lots off money if tim randell would have seen this i think they would all be sacked

"I booked a table for 2 really last minute on a busy December night, piccolio’s manger cosimo took the booking, he was so friendly and helpful that we really needed after a hard work in the cold winter weather! we went in and the restaurants that were breathtaking have woken us! the decor is stylish and above all it was so warm and cozy what we needed, we were greeted with smiles all around by every worker and was immediately taken on our table, without waiting time what ever! we were so swollen! Shortly after we sat, we tamara welcomed them beautiful, well presented and extremely polite. we thought up the menu, while tamara served us the most delicious Rosè Prosecco and took our orders. it was a hard choice, as we wanted to order one of all, the menu choices sound exquisite! so much choice and catering for all food requirements. my own and my friend decided to go for the spaghetti frutti di mare, which was absolutely inconceivable! muddle, mush and calamari topped with a huge garlic king prawn! it didn't take long until there were two empty teller and full bell! we stayed and talked together about the life and there was no hurry to move us from table to tamara has checked us we were so glad to have chosen piccolino chester for our girly dinner date and just wanted to say a massive thank you to cosimo, tamara and the piccolino team. I can't wait to come back to another fantastic evening."
