"We stayed for one night Bed and Breakfast and it was absolutely outstanding. They had upgraded our room which was such a wonderful surprise, it had a four poster bed and was furnished to a very high standard. The food was excellent, the landlady went out of her way to look after us and even decorated up for my birthday and gave me a complimentary drink. We had such an amazing time and I left my charger by mistake, Jane took the time to ring us and inform us so we went back and ended up staying for a roast dinner which was exceptional. As soon as we can we will be returning. Would highly recommend staying here or just eating here."

I was here at the weekend to prepare for my high time and for my high-time night. eating was fantastic and all the workers were beautiful. the rooms were of a very high standard and we will definitely use again. x x x x

fantastic rural village pub. I went for a storm around calke abbey area and had a thirst, so I called into this facility for a beautiful pint of cider. I think the renter helped me and she was very kind. I'll try this pub again and the next time I'll try to eat it. View menu

3 of us all had cakes, the bark meat, the fish and the special duck and cranberry. Meals were nice at home made cake and served so hot it had to cool a bit before eating what was great. service with a smile of beautiful employees. 2 stayed overnight in a stunning 'home' room. will definitely go back. well done to get a little out of the way!

Dropped in for a spot of late lunch Pleasant experience with fairly standard fare food but tasty and well presented and cooked Staff were polite and attentive and everything was clean neat and tidy unlike other close by establishments Very impressed by the Patron and his hands on approach Outside areas were again neat and tidy and well carted for A homely feel!
