"I've not been to this pub for a very long time, and to be honest, we were a little disappointed when we saw the menu had changed (under new management). We were expecting a smokehouse grill type meal but that is no longer available. However what we had well exceeded expectations (we had hot beef baguettes, with some fried onions and chips. A simple meal but so often places get it so wrong. My friend and I can honestly say this was the best beef baguettes we have every had the meat was very tender, tasty and loads of it (home cooked and locally sourced) , the bread very fresh and the chips were perfect. Mustard and horseradish were provided (without asking) along with other condiments. The service was exceptional both the landlady and her son couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful and really catered for the fact my friend was disabled. I totally recommend The Swan. I would now like to try the roast dinners on a Sunday. Thank you The Swan we really enjoyed our visit."

Extremely welcoming family-owned pub. Delicious food, excellent value, and generous portions. Comfortable beer garden. First time visitor, but will definitely return. Thank you.

Fabulous Sunday roast great value for money in a quirky cowboy and western pub. Lovely friendly staff who genuinely wanted to make sure you were happy with your food and had enough to eat :

What kind of manager verbally intimidates a woman who was kindly explaining we couldn't stay for lunch after parking in the carpark as her dog was unwell after a walk? Cowardly pathetic moron.

Great value for money. Large hot portions served by friendly staff. Choice of either two or three types of meat. I chose two and that was more than enough. Help yourself to as much veg as you want. Highly recommended.

Visited twice during the week as a non-regular. No food was on offer, however; the service in the bar from the staff was excellent. The service was polite, pleasant and engaging. The selection of beer is varied and good. The Doom Bar on hand pump was excellent. The clientele was ‘interesting’. The photos didn’t quite match the venue. It needs a little tidying up and making more inviting. The price of a pint is good. Would I go back? Yes.

Despite these drawbacks, the service was efficient and the food came out quickly after ordering. The menu items, such as chicken curry, cottage pie, and chicken burgers, all came out tasting homemade and were served with delicious chunky chips. Overall, if you are looking for affordable, home-cooked food, this is a great place to visit. Unfortunately, the lack of ambiance and decor was disappointing, as it has the potential to be an excellent establishment. On the positive side, there is plenty of parking available and the staff were friendly.

After 106 days of shielding, I was finally able to form my support bubble this weekend. To celebrate, I had a Parole Party with my friend and her family at The Swan, where we enjoyed a special traditional Sunday Carvery Lunch. I had heard great things about The Swan's Carvery, so I booked 6 large carveries over email. The food arrived on time and was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The meats were all well cooked and tasty, not thin slivers of catering meat. The staff even customized my meal box, which was a nice touch. My friend's daughter baked me a Welcome Home cake as well. Overall, it was a perfect meal that I will remember for a long time.

"We booked our family Xmas dinner there was very excited for it tbh , when we arrived the waitresses was friendly and amazing really good staff especially the young girl waiting our table , unfortunately when the food came was very disappointing I think my meat was lamb but the slices was so thin it almost seemed packet store bought again the carrots we had 3 slices very small and not even a quarter of a parsnip and a ball of something. That was mashed and the potatoes was simply lacking the gravy was nice aslo the condiments but then the desserts came and unfortunately followed suit with the sicky toffee pudding was obviously brought in and microwaved and hot held for a long time as there was a layer about the size of the top of my little finger that was hard and dried out basically and to top it off we let the waitress know some was orders with custard as it’s all pre ordered next thing we know the chef was at our table with her back up letting us know we was wrong untill we showed her the order form un professional tbh we was paying up to 30£ per person for this and from a table full of chefs and waitresses stand point never really do reviews but as it’s a lovely place thought needed to be said as a professional you need to hear the negatives to improve otherwise people will say it’s good and never return , bar staff front of house staff 10 out 0f 10 thou"
