"This is one of my favourite places to eat and drink and we come here regularly. It's in a beautiful location in the picturesque village of Dobcross and has gorgeous views of the village and surrounding countryside. The staff are so friendly and professional. Always a warm welcome at the Swan, and it's very popular with the locals too. We don't mind travelling over to visit every week as we love the food, service and location. The interior is very warm, cosy and traditional. Some great traditional features. All round very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. There are some lovely fires in a couple of the rooms for the winter months, and a function room upstairs is available. The menu is extensive, and the food is SPECTACULAR. The chefs are very creative with their specials board, and you really can't go wrong with whatever you order. They are super talented and know exactly what they're doing so it definitely keeps the menu exciting. All dishes executed to a tee. So much so, I can never resist ordering several dishes at once. Never kept waiting, and always a great experience. You definitely get your money's worth. Fantastic quality, and great presentation. The lunch menu is extra-good value too. Well worth a visit!!! Recommend people check food service times to avoid disappointment. You can find this on their website."

Visited here with my other half and my mum. Excellent!! I have nothing bad to say about the place, the girls were wonderful and food was delicious. Had to choose from a Sunday menu but we already knew about this from their Facebook page. We even had dessert (warm carrot cake is a must!!!!!!

We ordered food homemade pies a steak and Ale which came with an oval puff pastry top which you buy in frozen! once that was taken off there was half an inch of filling, Not impressed at all food was below average and so disappointing especially after my friend recommended it! Living on past reputation I think!

We booked into the Swan for a Sunday lunch and chose the roast dinner. The food was good but there were very few vegetables which is a shame as everything else was spot on. The staff are really nice but we’re a little inflexible when one of the younger members of our family wanted to change his burger option. We will be going back

We visited a few moths ago and the Sunday roast was good but on todays visit it can only be described as excellent, meat cooked to perfection, a good selection of tasty vegetables and Yorkshire pudding covered in a delicious gravy. My wife enjoyed a roast too our daughter enjoyed Cheese Onion pie. Really nice Sunday lunch great friendly service, we will be back soon.

An excellent Sunday lunch, we all had beef but some had the 'pink ' option and some 'cooked through ', both were very well received. My pink beef was perfect, accompanying veg was good too. Friendly efficient service. Starters also good and the choice supplemented by the bar snacks which were available as starters (incl. Bao buns, well received). A good choice of excellent had pulled ales, and a great pub atmosphere. Recommended.

It was okay, katsu chicken starter bao bun was not great, very dry. The most annoying thing was we ordered two soups which were okay but we ordered one as gluten free as it came with a bread roll. The gluten free order simply came without any bread. That is not really acceptable, gluten free bread is not hard to come by. The steak and fish and chips were good and the Karahi curry was okay. When you see a menu that says vegan or gluten free, you don't expect that to mean the bread will just not appear.

This a nice village pub with loads of character but unfortunately the food doesn’t match up to the cosy atmosphere. Our starters were not up to scratch, I ordered focaccia bread with olives and oil, the bread was not home made, my wife ordered beetroot falafel with olives, the sauce wasn’t authentic and there were no olives. Main course one of us ordered a medium steak which was well done and tough as old boots, to be fair they didn’t charge us for it!!, I ordered Karahi chicken curry which was not very tasty, overall the food was below standard and top price, we won’t be eating at the Swan again for a while. On the plus side the staff were very pleasant.
