The place has been updated and has a more modern look whilst keeping some of the old features. Penang curry was good but the menu is quite pricey. We were served by Jenny who was very friendly.

Really amazing service, my steak was phenomenal. All of the staff were all really friendly, attentive and made the experience a 10/10. Will definitely be coming back and bringing my friends and family with me!!!

We had a lovely evening for my husbands birthday. One of our choices wasn’t available so we chose something else which was fine. The food was really nice and we had a great evening. Thank you to Jess as she was really lovely, very polite and helpful.

Great Sunday roast. Lovely tasty food and big portion sizes. Lovely table next to fire, very enjoyable catch up with friends. Staff were very attentive and made us feel welcome. Really enjoyed mini crème brûlée for dessert to finish off. Will be back soon.

Friendly staff as soon as we came in. Lovely homely and clean environment. Great service and food was delicious, nothing at all to complain about. Will definitely be returning! We had Sunday Lunch menu and was spoilt for choice! Plenty of parking. Can honestly highly recommend.

Met two friends for dinner and a catchup. First impressions ... Loads of parking and really pretty country pub. Nice decor and ambience. I had the chicken skewers and they were absolutely delicious. The jewel in the crown was definitely the staff especially Lisa who was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, will definitely return.

This was a Birthday lunch with friends. We had a 3 course meal from the ‘special offer’ set menu. The food was very good, served hot to the table and without delay. A friendly service without being intrusive and any needs were promptly catered for. We all felt relaxed and looked after. I will definitely be returning to the Travellers Rest again. We were served by a lovely lady called Jenny.

Wow, had a lovely Sunday Roast here. The portions were big and the food was amazing! The restaurant has a lovely feel about it, modern, light and had a lovely roaring fire on a cold day. The staff were very friendly and made sure we had a relaxing, fun afternoon, thank you Kirsty. The drinks menu had something for everyone. Definitely worth a visit. Krystina and her team should be very proud of what they are doing here. Keep it going, lovely place for any occasion.
