As for the staff, while the majority performed adequately, there was one individual who exhibited a remarkable talent for selective obliviousness, leading us to resort to increasingly desperate attempts to capture their attention. Firstly the prices here are unbeaten, the food was prepared quickly and the service was excellent. The quality of the food was exactly how I expected, good British food. Why go anywhere else.

I had lunch here on Sunday. Chicken topped with cheese and bacon; coleslaw, chips and nachos. It was all very tasty, but the tomato sauce on the nachos was very hot. I liked the new Millionaires Shortbread dessert, too, with added strawberries for a mere 62 pence. Service was prompt and pleasant even though the restaurant was busy.
