"This revue is purely about the restaurant as I only dined there. It is a beautifully laid out restaurant, well decorated with linen tablecloths, water jug etc. so first impressions are excellent. The friendliness of the staff compliments this, as does their efficient service. It was a Sunday so we had the traditional Sunday roast (two roast beef and one lamb shank), which matched our expectations, excellent. We had three different deserts, and not one disappointed. The only thing I could pick on, was the fact I felt there should have been more prawns in the prawn cocktail, but that's only because I couldn't fault anything else. Without doubt we will be returning again very soon. Mega plus, bring your own wine with no corkage charge. Also interesting to hear some of the restaurants background from Callum the hotel's general manager, like it when staff come up through the ranks. And if the chef gets to read this loved the Jus, way better than gravy. If you've never been go, as you won't be disappointed."

Have been to Wycliffe several times and never been disappointed. I’d heard there had been a change of owners but needn’t have been concerned. We had a lovely meal and the service was faultless

Excellent restaurant. The food is very good quality, lots of great choices and super presentation. Traditional service, linen napkins a great place for a family celebration. We were very well looked after by Callum and team.

Written on booking there is english breakfast... 3 stars Hotel, really ? 2 slicer of brown break, 2 of white, a small cup of passed water melon and a few quarters of oranges...... All the guests were disappointed about that. The manager was rude on this subject so I left the hotel. Never again. View menu

Had an amazing meal here last night. We had the set Christmas menu which was £26 for 3 courses plus coffee. All food was excellent and great value. it is currently BYO so this keeps drinks cost down significantly. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, this restaurant is definitely one to visit.

The restaurant may be good didn't use it but the hotel side was staggeringly poor. Whoever heard of a breakfast period lasting just 1 hour [7.30 8.30] on weekdays and 1 hour [8.30 9.30] at weekends?? Completely unacceptable. Reason given just one member of staff on duty who had also to clean the bedrooms!! And hopeless room servicing. Towels not changed, biscuits used not replaced and, on one day, no room service at all and no apology!

I booked a Christmas meal for 9 friends as we had been previously and always had lovely meals. The food and service on this occasion surpassed all previous visits. The portions were extremely generous, beautifully cooked and presented and the staff pleasant and friendly. Callum couldn't do enough for us. Our thanks to him, to Chef and all the staff. We are already planning our next visit and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. View menu

We have been dining fairly frequently at the Wycliffe Hotel for several years and have never been disappointed with anything at all. The quality of the meals is excellent. The staff are cheerful and friendly. Tables are properly laid with cotton tablecloths and napkins. The new policy of non-alcoholic drinks provided by the hotel is fine with us. If you want to take your own alcohol then this is encouraged. We are always well looked after. All in all, a great place to eat!

Let me start with the positive. The greeting on arrival was excellent purly down to the enthusiastic male receptionist . The room was basic however apart from holes in some of the towels it was very clean. We booked expecting to be able to use the restaurant however on arrival told it wasn't open so had to find somewhere else to eat no mention the website of it being closed Breakfast was an absolute joke and with the offering of cereal, bread and cheese. Do not expect a cooked breakfast. The whole experience was one I hope to never come across again

"I am here at the slim party with my children personally think that the slim ladies need more personal, as there are many children, but only a few of them, but the staff here serve are great really friendly help full, meet and greet everyone who in and nothing seems much angry for them. I would really recommend this place based on the friendly staff, but I did not try to eat personally, but everyone here seems to enjoy it and it looks all very beautiful and well presented. this is a great idea when the children had more employees with them to have the superb something to eat, but they didn't have to do so much of the superb and help our children are a little older and we have made slim to house before we just continue to check them were in order and had everything they needed. I would like to add that my children had chicken and chips there. the chicken was freshly baked as I would do to house and the chips was nice and cooked in clean oil as I had a few of them, I can comment that for me the venue and the event staff made it a nice day, but the ladies who needed to run the slime 1 or 2 more staff and they sort them themselves better, but if I did 5 minutes before and did not go park. then she asked my wife if the children were ready as if they were going to the kitchen and checking. not enough time spent with the children, but with all that said they were going over by 30 minutes, but I think this is due to organization."

"A recent discovery for me is this beautiful Indian restaurant, which I rank up there with the best in Manchester, situated in the heart of Didsbury Village. Curries are without doubt my favourite food, so I've had a good few and since working for Yelp I have set myself the task of really locating the finest curry houses in Manchester. The Original Third Eye fully deserves to enter in at the top, alongside my other favourites, Punjab in Rusholme, Moon in Withington, and The Original Lal Qila on Deansgate. See my list for the run down. The name Original Third Eye comes from one of the finest restaurants in Kathmandu, though it is also a reference to the concept of the all Seeing Eye, a central emblem of Buddhist thought that is depicted on many temples and shrines throughout Nepal. The restaurant itself is large, and spacious, with authentic decoration and a smart, but still nicely informal, table arrangement. The food is literally unbelievable. Needless to say they sell all the usual traditional curry dishes, including an extensive fish list, but the main specialties are something new and unusual, a curry with a little something extra, taking it to that next level of joy and producing happiness and glee in their very consumption. The kidney kebab starter for example, combines classic kebab spices with beautiful marinated lamb kidney. Also beautiful is the Third Eye Tangri, which mixes chicken with minced lamb and nuts, a surprising and beautiful combination. In terms of mains, go directly to either the seafood menu or the Third Eye Specials section, on which everything is gorgeous. The piece de resistance, is the Murghi Masala, a whole chicken marinated in wonderful spices. This dish is so precisely crafted, that you in fact need to give 24 hours notice, and at least two people need to share it. I think that epitomizes this restaurant's absolute class. So I end on that note."
