"The Tobermory Bakery offers a great selection of breads, cakes, pies, and sweet treats. We were fortunate to secure a table for lunch, as there are only a few inside. The place was bustling with customers, many opting for takeaway. We tried the baked potato with haggis, black pudding, and cheese, which was a generous, tasty, and filling dish served with salad and coleslaw. The three cheese macaroni pie was also delicious and satisfying, though it could have used some sides. For dessert, we indulged in a light and fluffy lemon drizzle muffin and a slice of cookies and cream cheesecake. The coffee was decent. Despite dining in, everything was served in takeaway containers, which was a bit disappointing. It seems they may not have the facilities to wash dishes on site. It would be nice to see more vegetarian options like egg mayo for sandwiches and baked potatoes. Overall, we would recommend Tobermory Bakery for a tasty meal."

We enjoyed what were the best doughnuts I’ve ever had from Tobermory Bakery. So fresh and light, packed with loads of tasty jam! Thank you

Just the thing for breakfast with a mug of decent coffee, served by smiling staff. They had a fantastic range of cakes, pies and pasties, too.

If you want an amazing doughnut, this is the place, love it. Lots of selection of filled rolls, pastry and bread and so much more, highly recommend

There is a wide selection of freshly baked items to choose from, including teas and coffee. I opted for a hot, freshly baked pie, which was delicious and a great value. View menu

My son claims the Nutella filled 3 day doughnut may be the best doughnut he’s ever eaten! We also had jacket potatoes and bagels in our party which were tasty and fresh.

We tried the custard and rhubarb donut along with two carrot cake muffins, and they were simply perfection. As someone who bakes and loves supporting small bakeries, I highly recommend making regular visits to this place.

This place is heaven for anyone who like cake, pastry, bread, coffee… basically all the good stuff. The fresh bread and doughnuts are incredibly good and the prices are very reasonable. We were in Tobermory for 7 days and visited the Bakery almost every day! View menu

This is not a sit down breakfast with plates cafe but a take way or order at counter and enjoy at one of their tables. Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic light and airy croissants, and perfectly balanced bacon and egg roll! Good strong coffee rounded off a great start to our day!

This is a truly wonderful local bakery. Good Scotch pies, fabulous cakes and pastries. Not cheap, but the quality is excellent so great value for money. My only complaint is that the shop closes on Sundays so we had to go without that day. We didn't eat in but you can. The first time we went we had to queue for a fair time, but that's just because the food is so good. Go first thing in the morning just after it opens to avoid queuing.

"On our last day here, killing time before the ferry, decided to try luncheon here. No expectations either way. And we were TOTALLY wowed it was just excellent. Trying not to put too many superlatives in this review, but it was really, really ace. We had a lovely table by the window overlooking the harbour where you could see dog walkers, children in wellies, crabbing, and little boats coming and going. Classic Islay. Then I have to mention the food. Jeez, it was top notch, and huuuuuuuge portions. I don’t think we’ve ever had four such consistently generous and fulfilling portions before. We had the scallops (massive, juicy, plentiful , the Crofter’s Platter, which was cheeses, hams, sausage rolls, salad, bread, chutneys; the soup massive bowl, loadsa crispy sourdough bread, and the fish and chips which was so big it draped over the plate! All delicious. Our guy, Andrew, was superb, so attentive and smiley and always bringing us more things, spoons, drinks, more bread, spoons, he was great. And we had a lovely chat with the very friendly and nice proprietor. She was wonderful. Really seemed to care about the place and her team. She told us all about the hotel and stuff it was really cool. We will most certainly come back here next time. You can’t necessarily get the best table every time, but we won’t mind if we don’t! : Oh, also, lovely clean loos!"

"We booked this restaurant after reading the reviews while touring Scotland what a disappointment. When we arrived we were shown to a table straight behind the door and as it kept opening and shutting it blew a massive amount of cold air in. As both parents and staff allowed 2 young children to go in and out every few minutes it got a bit much. We were given the menu and told specials were on the board. No description or recommendation. Also they did not say the board also goes over the top of the fish on didplay. I had crab claws to start the mayonnaise was lovely and what I could get out of the claws was nice but I was given no instruments to get into the claws and they were not broken enough for them to just pull out. I ordered the turbut for main as did my husband it was a small fillet with the skin correctly removed but it was loaded with garlic butter sauce you couldn't taste the fish for the garlic. Also which was worse I don't know what they did to the top of it but it was yellow and like thin rubber. We had to peel it off it was not good. I didn't complain at the time because I am not used to having a fillet of turbut. When I have had it before my husband and I have shared a turbut presented whole at the table. I have only written this today after speaking to some friends who said i should put something on because there had to be something wrong for the top of the fish to be yellow and leathery. You might guess but I won't be going back."
