"Nice lunch in Venice (November 2019). We stumbled on this trattoria as we were looking for a place for lunch, and were not disappointed. The room is quite small but cozy, the waiter was very pleasant and the food was very good. I had an appetiser with cannoli (seafood, not the Sicilian dessert) and fegato alla veneziana, and the fish dishes of the other people looked very good too, though my wife mentioned that the pasta alle vongole was not well al dente (we are used to having in fish dishes in Sicily, which may have spoiled our standard expectations). I did not see the bill, but the prices on the menu looked reasonable. Overall we had a good time, and would come back. I noticed some negative reviews with details and photos which I do not recognise, there maybe another restaurant in Venice with the same name but a worse reputation. Couldnt be worse. Waiter unhappy we havent ordered food. €30 for 2 aperols and water. He was rude when i ask for receipt. Service added, took money and dispaered without a word.

The food was average, nothing great, nothing terrible. The servers were rude and creepy, and insisted that the tip was not included in the price. They scoffed and threw things the entire time. We walked by without a reservation and were greeted and seated straight away. Lovely spot right next to the canal and great service. The waiter offered to take pictures of my partner and I at the table as he saw us taking some holiday snaps. The pasta was absolutely delicious, so flavoursome. Rip-off. I was charged almost double the amount because he was so friendly and I guess he thought I wouldn't know if it was a scam. I think I was told 20,000 yen for the lunch in this photo. When I pointed it out, they ignored it and returned it to the regular amount, but I don't see any reason to take on that risk. Is the scenery beautiful enough to stand out? We had a very enjoyable dinner here. The location is great. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The food and wine were delicious and affordable. We were seated right away on a Saturday evening at 19:30. Highly recommend! We ignored the low reviews and are glad we did.
