"Once in a while my wife and I crave a full English . The circumstances have to be right. We have to be hungry and we have to be on a journey or a shopping trip early in the day. So on this day, very recently, my wife and I drove to Gloucester having deliberately missed breakfast we don 't bother anyway most of the time). We knew where we were going because we check Tripadviser for possible locations. We 'd already seen the reviews for the Trojan Cafe so we said OK let 's check it out. The first favourable impression is that the place is kept very clean and that the decor is uncluttered. I noticed some framed pictures of Turkish holiday locations so I 'm guessing the staff may come from Turkey. My wife ordered a basic all day and I ordered the full all day . We had two mugs of tea and much to my surprise the tea tasted good. I 'm the tea expert at home so I know a good cup when I taste one. We didn 't wait long before the food arrived and I was in for a shock when I got my plate. My reaction was Good God when I saw the amount that was on my large plate. This amused the man who brought it. The plate was full and it was all there and it was piping hot. I won 't list the contents of my all day breakfast other than to say all the elements were there in abundance and excellently cooked. I finished the lot except a couple of slices of toast. Had I thought about it I could have asked for some marmalade and I would have finished the remaining toast off as well. Anyway I was full. I realized I wouldn 't need any other food for the rest of the day. And so it proved. One bit of advice I 'd give to the pleasant staff at this cafe is to research the black pudding a bit more. As a Northerner I 've sampled black puddings before they are not all the same. The black pudding served at the Trojan was a little bland. They can be better and probably a little more expensive. Go for the less fatty type drier and more flavoursome. Notwithstanding I ate the black pudding served up to me. My wife and I turned up in smart casual country clothes and we were surrounded by tradesmen wearing their working cloths streaked with paint and oil. I knew we were in the right place. I thought it was funny. We were all there for the good food and tradesmen know where to get the good stuff. So do the local pensioners who were also there. The prices were right. All in all a very pleasant dining experience but you have to be hungry to cope with the Trojan signature dish. My wife and I both returned empty plates. A couple of pieces of toast don 't count. We will return when we feel the need for a proper full English ."

I am disappointed to see that prices at my favorite restaurant have increased by 82% and the quality has declined. I strongly advise against dining there.

Always go here if the Concordes full. By no means is it second best, always greeted well by friendly staff. Food comes fast and fresh and so big it will keep you going all day. Immaculate cafe with clean condiments and seating. Well done.

I went to this restaurant with my friends and we were impressed by the menu options. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and the staff were very helpful in seating us. The service was excellent and the restroom was very clean. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely excellent breakfast. I'd normally cook a full English myself, but some days (hangover) call for someone else to do it for me. Tried Trojan for two takeaway full English to take away for the first time. We live just beyond the delivery app areas, so I drove it home myself; still hot, not greasy, plenty of food, all tasty, and nice service. Thank you.

Have been coming here for breakfast for years and although we have tried many other places for cooked breakfasts, the Trojan outranks everywhere else by miles. Excellent food, good portion size, always hot, reasonably priced, very friendly staff and very clean cafe. Have recommended to many friends who all agree on the high quality of the food. Happy to keep coming back.

This restaurant is exactly what you would expect from a family-run establishment. They open early and provide no-nonsense service. It's a great option when you're in town and looking for a place to grab breakfast in the morning. The food is top-notch and the service is excellent. This place is a solid 5 out of 5 and cannot be faulted. It's a well-run business serving delicious food.

Love it here ! Had a disappointing breakfast at the Quays recently ....small , overpriced, service charge etc . The Trojan , just a stone's throw away makes up for it . Lovely cooked breakfast, 6 items of your choice for £5.50 . Eggs of your choice , crispy bacon . Nothing fancy but never disappoints here ! Sometimes struggle to actually finish it as there is bread toast on the side too .
