"amazing little place that serves great eating. many vegan options (at least 6 net! . all foods are produced locally (where always possible and some of them even organic, which is simply super for the price! especially impressed was that they use cocose instead of white sugar and that they make their own vegan ice cream, which is by far the best I tasted - even better than boujas boujas! the service was on the point and very friendly. great tasting home cooked eating, amazing!"

wonderful eating, friendly staff menu is small, but that means that they have perfected the dishes they serve. satay and temporary are delicious. for something else try the thai custard cake for dessert yummy

We have been several times and are never disappointed. Food is fresh and delicious, plenty of options labelled vegan on the menu. The crispy aubergine is amazing, as is the tofu. Staff always friendly, great service. View menu

As a family with gluten intolerance it was a treat not to have to scrutinise the menu. The food was very tasty and the service was excellent. Its quite a small place, so we were lucky to get a table, but the size of the place added to the charm.

Lovely little Thai restaurant on Gloucester high street. Quite a few vegan options, the tempura vegetable starter was just delicious and the sweet and sour tofu I had as my main course was incredible. Lovely friendly service. Wish I lived closer as I'd go fairly often.

visited this place during the bottom in gloucester for the weekend. the food was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful and efficient. all vegan options are marked on the menu. the prices were also very reasonable. I had the red tofu curry, which was delicious and tempura veg as an appetizer. in any case worth a visit if in gloucester. View menu

It's quite expensive, but worth treating yourself here I had a delicious tamarind aubergine main and an AMAZING dessert involving coconut and taro soaked rice (kind of like the lovechild of rice pudding and dumplings). The lady who served was was very friendly, helpful, and quick, and although there was a large group also in the restaurant we didn't feel we had to wait for long.

We ordered a selection of dishes from the menu tonight and it was a flavour explosion. We really enjoyed it only disappointment was finishing it. You can tell from the menu that they take a lot of care in the ingredients they choose for their dishes. As one of us was gluten free knowing that the whole menu was GF made ordering so easy would recommend to anyone who wants great tasting Thai food.

"The Cavern in Gloucester is one of a kind. To a lot of people just passing by it is a very pleasant social cafe with reasonably priced food and non-alcoholic drink. The reality is that The Cavern is so much more than that. This is a place that is non-judgemental and focuses on inclusion for everyone. It has a lot of regular attendees including myself, many of which have mental health issues and/or some form of disability. The staff here (who are absolutely amazing) have a varied and wide understanding of mental health and what makes this place unique is that anyone can attend in the evening to talk to a member of staff about any issues in an informal and discrete way. Whilst staff are available anytime during the day there is a designated support area in the evenings which anyone can make use of. There are also various activities which The Cavern put on including an informal karaoke on a Sunday evening with mixed abilities of singers taking part. You don 't have to be a good singer as you will not be judged, it 's all about taking part. The Cavern has had a couple of bad reviews where it has been pointed out that there has been drug use and anti-social behaviour. Some of which may be true, however please bear in mind that some people who attend The Cavern may have mental health issues and conditions that may not be physically visible. The Cavern does not judge and is open to everyone. If The Cavern wasn 't so inclusive, then where would these people go? On the streets being Antisocial ? Getting involved in criminal activity? The safe space that The Cavern provides encourages people to attend and seek advice and support from a friendly staff team as well as other regular attendees who feel that The Cavern has a real family feel to it. Drug use is strictly prohibited and is challenged immediately. Whilst I accept that The Cavern may not run smoothly 100% of the time, I also know that the staff do everything that they can to support everyone who needs it. They are all very approachable and have the respect of people who feel able to open up to them about their problems and struggles. The Cavern is a safe space for everyone and if it was to ever close then Gloucester would lose a very valuable asset to the city."
