"VEGA SEEMS TO BE OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK but maybe worth a phone call first to check. Looking for a healthy lunch in July 2021 when walking on the South West Coastal Path we left the path to walk through Tintagel high street, at first there are the usual bog standard touristy unhealthy places to eat but within a few minutes you find the refreshing Vega' still on the main street on the left hand side. It was a sunny day and there were tables inside and outside, the lovely lady owner was so helpful and although we arrived before opening time we were invited in and had a large portion of Curry, home made chutney, home made elderflower fizz and Tea we were too full for puddings but there were several to choose from. Everything was wholesome and healthy and prepared skilfully by the owner who is passionate about quality eating and being kinder mindful to our world."

This place has two menus depending on which days of the week you visit, both menus have lots of choice and two completely different vibes!

Fully vegan, a rarity in Cornwall! Friendly service and good honest food. We had the Buddha bowl and a chickpea curry. Other options were lasagne, falafel, chilli and pasta dishes. Different menus at weekends and specials too. The peanut butter cheesecake was scrummy!

Are you one of those vegans that everyone knows just how vegan you are because you wear it on your sleeve with passion? Well this is like that but a vegan cafe. Veganism is plastered everywhere with vegan leaflets and books as well as amazing vegan foods and even homemade treats.

another fantastic meal in vega last night. this place still gives excellent tasty meal times at very cheap trips. 50 % go to animal welfare grounds. such a beautiful, local atmosphere where you always feel welcome. the third time here and is always the main reason why we always come to tintagel. updated by previous review on 2021-10-08

Stumbled upon this gem of a place literally on the way to the car park. Sadly too far from home to be a regular haunt but a total recommendation to tourists. I have never tasted better plant-based food. The couscous was divine. My partner had curry which she loved. I had lasagne. Never ever tasted better lasagne. The food made me so happy I could have wept. Yes it's that good. Lovely service. You must go if you get the chance !

We took our family of three children here on Sunday afternoon and it didn’t disappoint! The sharing platter of starters was tasty and offered both hot and cold small plates including Spanish meatballs in a tomato sauce and a tasty beetroot dip and pitta bread. The main courses we had were lovely too. Especially the lentil and chickpea curry with homemade chutney, it was delicious and polished off by all three of my little ones. The staff were friendly and attentive and it made such a lovely change to be able to choose from a whole menu not having to ask what was vegan! They had an incredible dessert menu too, but we were too stuffed to fit any in!
