"We were welcomed very friendly, escorted to the room and everything was explained. The ambience of the hotel really appealed to us: individually and tastefully furnished and we immediately felt at home. Parking wasn't a problem, we found a spot straight away. The hotel's park with swimming pool and beautiful sitting areas is wonderful. The room (number 11) was very spacious and well equipped, for example with a Nespresso coffee machine and 2 pads. The minibar was stocked with juice and water. The beds were wide by French standards and allowed the two of us to sleep very well. The bathroom was equipped with two sinks and a bathtub. We were looking forward to a bath but the bathtub filling up would certainly have taken until we left so little water came out of the tap. The nicely decorated restaurant was a complete disappointment. What we were served as a gourmet menu for €69 was pure disgrace. Every part of the dish was presented in such an exaggerated way that you had no idea what you were eating. The bacalao was completely overcooked and draped with decorations like cheap jewelry from the tombola. It's clear that given today's staff shortage you shouldn't necessarily expect English or French language skills but the young lady's complete lack of technical knowledge was astonishing. Everything was outbid for €9 or €10 for a glass of the simple, open wine a disgrace. It is absolutely not advisable to visit this restaurant there are a few simple restaurants in the nearby town. Then came breakfast: for €20 per person, everything was nicely presented, but you only got a small plate to prepare your breakfast. The fruit salad consisted of chopped apples and 3 pieces of canned pineapple. Then the cherry on top: the boiled egg costs €6 extra and the omelet costs €9 extra. This is how you scare away even the most well intentioned guests. Conclusion: Great hotel in a nice atmosphere. Avoid the restaurant and breakfast!"

Depuis le changement de propriétaire, la cuisine a évolué; elle est traditionnelle et gouteuse nous avons particulièrement aimé le bar farci et la cote de porc capelin délicieux

"When the O'Rabasse restaurant told us that they were fully booked and could not give us a table, we were disappointed. But then, when asked where else would they recommend we go for dinner, they suggested we try L'intemporel. It's not so often that restaurants recommend other restaurants in their area, so we were very grateful. As it turns out, they were totally right to recommend l'Intemporel, a smallish, but oh so nicely decorated restaurant in the town of Bollène. It was not a busy Friday night, so the service was warm ant attentive, but not over the top. We went for the fixed price menu du Barry at 37€, which obviously meant no surprises when paying the bill! My husband started with the local asparagus with cured ham and mozzarella, while I had the scallops on a bed of aubergine cavier. Both starters were beautifully presented on dark plates. For mains, it was fish for both of us: salmon with a spicy mayonnaise, roast potatoes spagetti-like carrots; a huge piece of marinated tuna, sauce vièrge and the same veggies... a feast for the eyes! There were two desserts on the menu, so we took one of each. A Valhrona chocolate tart on a thin, thin Tonka bean biscuit base and a lemon vanilla cream on a shortbread base, surrounded by strawberries and raspberries that are just coming to season here. Yummy! A fixed price menu with high quality, well present products and great service, what more could you ask for?"
