"This was a party of six for dinner, so we had 18 dishes across 3 courses. Overall opinion is that the food was good, with mushroom soup (of the day), the Exmoor ribeye, and the sticky toffee pudding gaining the best comments. Vegetarian curry was also good, but that diner would have liked the option to add chicken or fish protein to that dish. Venue was full and lively, with enough background noise from other diners to feel you weren’t being listened to. The only gripe I had was that the table mats were stuck to the table, meaning that as the tables are cleaned between covers, the mats are not being moved and the table thoroughly cleaned. Minor, but worth mentioning. Staff were polite and attentive, and the hotel itself is positioned with a wonderful view of the sea. Definitely worth a second visit."
