"After hearing the wharf had started doing roast dinners again we thought we would try it. Turned out to be not such a good idea. After being shown to our booked table we had to wait 15 minutes for a waitress to take our drink order then another 10 minutes for drinks. Their was no attempt to take or food order for 45 minutes after being seated, and then we had to call a waitress over wnd ask i we supposed to order at the bar! She said no and apologised for the wait. Ordered french soup, but told the chef was about to cook some more thought to myself if he hadn't spent time chatting to people he new outside of the kitchen it might not have run out. when roast came up the portions were very small for £20, 3 small potatoes 2 small slices of beef, little bowl of vegetables. Tasted nice but very small. Deserts once again what we wanted had run out, so had sorbet, well that wasnt even a scoop worth. The poor waitress was rushed of her feet i might add."

The food was tasty and the portions were generous, all for a great price! My mom and I went for a birthday dinner and had a lovely time. After our meal, we sat on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful ocean view. View menu

I always go to this restaurant when I'm in the area. It has a great location and offers a good variety of high-quality food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and attentive. I highly recommend trying the fish and chips or the roast chicken, paired with a pint of Island Bear IPA!

I recently dined at a charming waterfront pub that boasts a lovely interior and a spacious balcony overlooking the water - perfect for enjoying in the summer months. The service was prompt and efficient, and the food was delicious. The cost per person ranged from £20-30. Rating the experience, the food was a 4, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5. Additionally, there was ample parking available in a free parking lot.

My partner and I were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled upon this restaurant in Dartford. Despite having been to many places in Kent, we had never explored this area before. The location was ideal and the staff were extremely friendly. What started as a drink turned into a full dinner experience. The menu, from Shepherd Neame, offered a wide variety of options for both hearty eaters and those with dietary restrictions or vegetarian preferences. We were impressed by the attentive service, as the staff asked if we had any allergies before we ordered. The prices, ranging from £10 to £14 for mains, were quite reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes.

"on Thursday 23 6 22 visited the pough inn, eynsford, kent with my wife about 1315 clock to 1532 clock. in this time of visit the atmosphere calmly relaxed in the inn, even no problems with the parking space in the disabled bay remember their vehicle registration at the bar inn at the arrival recording! disabled entrance, toilet facilities also here. a historical inn with a historical architecture that is part of the historic village of eynsford is certainly one of the most famous picturesque villages not only in kent england, but the whole of the U.K. the beautiful upper achievements of the river darent and its famous ford crossing are always an attraction for many visitors in the heart of the village along riverside. the plough inn is conveniently located next to the river bank and awaits them with friendly, friendly and friendly staff to offer them a menu to be proud. a fairly large parking space in the spaces, but consider that this inn in where its location can be very busy due to its popularity. like most pub, gastro-pub restaurants, depending on season, day of week, daytime, it would probably be advisable to check before! but of course, they can have luck, only show up casually without a reservation, especially on a weekday. the general interieur very chic. the decor inside is a blend of smooth earthy colors to fit the walls with attractive presented furniture. table and chair arrangements are properly spaced apart, there is also an area in the upper floor. warm modern lighting and lamps, and a good long bar. very clean and hygienic round, I found. eating is very good to choose a good choice of British and Mediterranean European dishes on all courses. especially for me unforgettable is the sweet dessert! my wife and I visited here about 20 years ago, and I always remembered one of the best cheesecake I had ever eaten. this time I had the chocolate trio cheesecake, I recommend! also at this opportunity I had pan fried scallops for beginners, and the main a delicious king prawn crab chorizo linguine...done too perfection in my view!. only a small part, it seemed to lack quantity, but hey, made sure for it in quality. I could just have eaten another main dish....hope this note free at least to the chef and catering staff! Maybe not the fastest table service, but for me, that does not play any role in a beautiful relaxing inn where the time can drift wonderfully. perfect ideal for couples to hug their time here, ideal for a steady walk along the river banks and village. Yes, my wife and I will return at a later time. and yes, I personally give this wonderful well remembered inn my praise with an assessment of a1, 10 10 10. a pleasure to be here, enjoyed chat with the staff. a lot of luck with future hospitality and use. chris"

"I have just got back from an unfortunately VERY disappointing meal here today. I was recommended this place by a friend who said the food was great, and as it is so local to me we thought we would try. However, we went in and first off the only menu was a Sunday one which just offered various meats with standard roast accompaniments, no matter o chose a steak as it said it came with chips and onion rings. My first mistake. Secondly we ordered some bread and olive oil and balsamic dip. And a lamb shank. It took 53 minutes for the kitchen to send out our order and we didn’t even get the bread and olive oil to pick on. We had to ask a very rushed looking waitress how long table 59 would be, and could we at least have our bread and dip. She went in and came out another 5 minutes later with two plates one with bread and oil and another with some kind of pate on it. I said straight away we hadn’t ordered it so she took it away and then reappeared 5 minutes later carrying the same plate and saying that we had in fact paid for it so it was ours. No refund or apology was offered so I graciously said ok, we will try it. It was AWFUL, really warm pate and the bread was dry. Awful. Now onto the mains; My steak turned up with peas which I did not order. It was also bland and unseasoned and was brought dry with no sauce options or anything. I ate a few mouthfuls and ate 5 chips and I honestly couldn’t eat anymore as it was just tasteless and chewy. The lamb shank was ok, the gravy with it had no flavour at all and there was no salt or pepper offered or on the table at all ‍. We waited another 35 mins and no one came over to check or ask us if everything was ok. In the end. We got so fed up we left. I am incredibly disappointed, I never moan or put up reviews but I actually feel seriously unhappy that a meal for two cost me £65 in a mediocre setting and was flavourless. That combined with being charged for a starter neither of us would ever order in a million years and the fact we had to clear our own table and dust ash off of it gave me an experience I’m massively unhappy about. For a restaurant with apparent 4 stars online it was mediocre at best. And that is only because the lamb shank and a few mushrooms on my plate were edible and I was hungry! I really would like to hear back from someone, and for you to morally do the right thing and have my ‘unordered’ starter refunded back to me at some point. I have no issue in returning in the future however I would like some assurance that the whole experience will be far better and that all the issues here are addressed to give me an incentive to come back again."
