"WTP is rated highly and the food is fresh, but I was disappointed to find they use textured soy for their meat replacement which is the cheapest thing you could use, and yet they charge nearly £10 for a pita. I ordered it anyway thinking their marketed special seasoning would improve the taste, but it didn't do much. I also bought a cheesecake which was tasty but literally came out as a sliver of cake for £4.95. I've found better value and ingredients in other restaurants in Manchester. The staff at this restaurant is very welcoming and the location is slightly hidden away in the Northern Quarter.

What can I say! Everything was delicious! The Doner Gyros were probably some of the best I’ve ever had. You gotta eat here! Service was great and were super friendly View menu

I always order the doner chip box with all the salad and garlic mayo at this restaurant. In my opinion, it couldn't be any better! I also appreciate that they serve pints.

I absolutely adore this place. It is one of my favorite spots in Manchester. The quality of the meat is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. My go-to dish is the chip box.

Popped in for a light bite lunch, ordered a couple of kebabs which were delicious! Whole menu is vegan and they even have vegan mr.whippy style soft serve ice cream. Nice seating area and chilled atmosphere. View menu

The Doner Kebab Wrap at this restaurant is quite generous and well-presented. The price is reasonable for the UK, and the meat in the kebab is impressive - it seems to be a very well-prepared soy alternative that is incredibly tasty. Additionally, they offer the option to fully customize your wrap by adding or removing ingredients.

I have to say, I was dubious as to whether the food could live up to the hype, but I delighted to report that I was wrong. I had both the chicken and doner gyros and they equally superb. The sides, of which I had criss cut fries and onion rings, were also great. The only slight oddity was a lemon in with the onion rings, but this certainly wasn’t anything that detracted from the meal, just a curiosity!

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
