"Whilst we had booked a 2.15pm table, knowing that the restaurant closed at 4pm, we did not expect to have hurry our meal throughout. Whilst it started off well in being provided with a reasonable table, the young man waiting on our table, had obviously had no proper ‘waiting’ training and proceeded to ounce on our table to clear even before we had finished! Doing this with a poker face and lack of interest, plus leaning across the table as we tried to eat, left all of us feeling edgy and in no mood to enjoy the food which was of reasonable standard. The whole experience was akin to a fast food restaurant but a darn sight more expensive!"

woodfire is an excellent place for a light, relaxing, informal ambiente with beautiful windowtic, pleasant and efficient coworkers and the best pizza I have ever eaten. View menu

Wood fire was good for early evening dining with the sharing platter very good and enjoyed by all. The pizzas were also good and good value. Our only disappointment was that the restaurant stopped serving quite early in a Saturday evening.

Great location in the high street, quick service and plenty of staff. Children are very well looked after with a good menu that they can colour in whilst waiting. We had a table of four adults and five young children and everyone had a great time.

a fairly legible pizza, but inedible tocotti . the ambiente, which is completely pampered by the employees who constantly pass by with buckets, and the cleaning products and the cold rays that are constantly opened by the staff. pity as it was as good as it opened. View menu

This was the second time, having visited for the first time three weeks ago for lunch. Great meeting place with pleasant staff. The sharing platter was not good value for the price, but the panino proscuitto was excellent as was the chicken caesar salad. The noise level was extra high with a noisy adjacent table with four young children, who were unsupervised by two mothers too busy chatting! My Good Food Guide £5 voucher was rejected, which was sad!

We went on a week night, it was quite quiet and an hour before their 8pm close. We were basically ignored, then our appetisers skipped (as was the table next to us) which felt like a path toward getting us out so they could close on time at 8PM. Food was good, the team was polite when talking to us but if their hours are going to be till 8 they really need to realign their delivery. Worth visiting any other time and perhaps they need a business decision on hours.

"Havng visited my son and daughter-in-law in Andover recently he booked The Boot as his choice of restaurant to celebrate his birthday. We were greeted by a lovely barman who saw to our drinks and very quickly we were shown to our table as the...reception for bookings and diners is adjacent to the bar. Furbished well and up-to-date with decor and seating that is a mishmash of different tables and chairs, which seams to be the in thing. We were given a well polished oval table very near a back exit door which to where it led i have no idea as we dined in the evening and it was dark. As a party of six this table allowed plenty of elbow room in which to comfortably eat. The shape of the table ideal to be able to converse with everyone which is always nice. The waitress was prompt with menus which are truly extensive with the addition to specials on boards mounted on the walls for everyone to see easily wherever you may be seated (more than one board). Needless to say we all took a time to choose. We all had starters, deep fried brie, soup, prawn cocktail and sissled king prawns in garlic with choritzo X All served more or less together which allowed us all to start at the same time. Each and every dish well presented, generous and enjoyed by all. For main dishes we had, belly pork with crackling, texas steak, lamb shank x pasta, and the most enourmous mixed grill i have ever seen in my life. Unfortunately my son would not allow me to photograph it, had to be seen to be believed. Again good presentation arriving in stages this time but with very little time to wait. We were asked if all was ok a short time after starting which i actually like, i feel this is a nice personal touch rather than here is your food i am off now Although they had a wonderful selection of desserts we honestly could not manage another mouthful, you know when you are sensibly full. I had a french coffee and my husband an ordinary coffe rather than more alcohol!!!! The reason for my title is that two table away from us Craig Revel Horwood was dining with what appeared to be a partner and what we thought we heard was his Mother and another guest for her birthday. Although a celebrity i can honestly say every diner that evening was treated exactly the same apart from the Chef coming to the table for a chat. Can live with that and the darlings heard more than once obviously. On paying at the desk on exit we meet the lady owner and her great loving puppy dog, to whom was only allowed out after talking to her, The Boot was more or less empty when we left. So if you like big dogs, be sure to cuddle this big softie he is so adorable. If in Andover and you do not want to be let down by going somewhere to dine i so highly recommend this characterful place to eat and drink. All in all a fantastic experience. This Landlady has so got it right, long may she continue."

"for the first time with the view of the examination of the opposite to visit stockbridge was pleasantly surprised, no real ground like the ambiente. parked in front of the three tassen, as it was the only space available and went for a walk along the high road. it was a very cool Sunday afternoon at 2.30 and the longer the walk went on the warm pub and a hot Sunday dinner beckoned. the three tassen have put the bill very warm, cozy and welcoming, although a little on the lower deck side: the three tassen it seemed served up to 15 o'clock and they had a table available for two so that we caught it and drink it over the check of the menu and drink. I went for the Roast pumpkin, while my better half decided for the Roast pot around £16 a head. my wife had an advertiser and I had a half a prise of a local brew that it called flower pot. the roasts were both excellent and regarding the amount, we were certainly not hungry. the kartoffels had already been one because clear and well cooked, but that was no problem at all, especially the cheese and lynx sauce and the huge yorkshire pud tasted. we shared a pudding, the orange pie', the fair was a mistake. it was not as sadly described by the waitress, but there they go, we will not decide again. had another half of flower pot and a coffee that totals just about £50 everything in. excellent value for money and certainly a place we would visit if in the opposite and would recommend."
