We were informed during the evening that the pub was closing for a few months for refurbishment, all we can say is that we chose the World's End because of the way it is at the moment so please don't take away the lovely atmosphere that it has at the moment, we did consider going to the Beefeater at Crossbush but looking at the website photos and reading the reviews which were poor we decided that it looked rather plain und unwelcoming."

Came for a girls’ pre-Christmas lunch (turned out to be a three course meal! Lovely friendly staff, excellent choice of food, delicious meal. It’s not the first time we’ve been and it certainly won’t be the last. Highly recommended.

We tried out the Sunday dinner at this restaurant and found it to be delicious overall. However, one of our group members ordered the Treakelschwammpudding and was disappointed. She found it to be dry and lacking in syrup. When she requested more syrup, it was served in a small pot that was too hot to touch and difficult to pour. Unfortunately, she described the pudding as "terrible", which was disappointing considering how good the first course was.
