the food was lovely the staff helpful and friendly and the spiced apple cake was delicious and ribs best ever.

We had an excellent meal with very courteous staff. Our server was extremely attentive and the atmosphere was very welcoming. It was a rare and enjoyable night out for us after a long time.

Good food, huge portion sizes, great service. The quality of the food is as good but nothing mind blowing, the service however was excellent. Very attentive and fast service. The size of the meals were huge but I suppose I should have expected that from an American diner! Overall a great experience

We had a fantastic steak at Zak's during an impromptu lunch with my mother. We both had a craving for steak and we were not disappointed. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly to medium. The sides were also delicious, and I was excited to finally find a restaurant that serves fried pickles. It was a beautiful meal overall.

This small restaurant is perfect if you're craving burgers, ribs, milkshakes, and more. The atmosphere is great, the service is fast and efficient, and the portions are generous. The kids' menu is especially good value. Every table was occupied, showing how popular the restaurant is. My 6-year-old loves it, so we will definitely be coming back again and again.

A good visit to Zaks today, our two lovely lady servers were friendly and efficient, the place was quiet when we got there but more guests arrived as the hour passed. I tried spicy chicken thighs, which were nice, as was the accompanying fresh slaw, bbq beans and Zakaspuds. I really would like to see the Black Pepper burger reinstated on the menu though. All in all a great lunch, thank you.

Zak’s has never been too restaurant quality food, but I feel it has gone massively downhill since Covid-19. The burgers weren’t cooked to how they were ordered and felt very cheap/burger van like which was a shame. The toppings were okay, but didn’t have a lot on for the price. Service was *okay*, friendly waitress but there were three tables in when we went and all three tables waited at least 15 minutes before the waitress asked if we were finished and wanted dessert/bill. Sides however were really good!! It’s a shame as it used to be my partners favourite place to eat, but it seems prices have risen and food quality has decreased.

This was the American diner experience we were hoping for during our recent trip to New York. The choice of burgers, steaks, hotdogs and more was superb. Especially the burgers 20 options. The servings are large so being your biggest stomach. I'm still full 7 hours later. My PB burger was a revelation, who would have thought peanut butter would make a good burger sauce. The steaks are well cooked and as asked for. The burgers are also cooked the way you want and stay juicy. The curly fries are lovely and the straight ones plentiful. This was the first visit to this restaurant, I have eaten at both Zak's waterside, and Zak's porlingland, Zak's waterside is the restaurant I use the most, after choosing to visit the mousehold heath restaurant for the first time, my meal was Luke warm, I told my server and she then replaced it with a part meal, my ribs were very chewy and the side order of chilli after being replaced was too salty so inedible, we were rushed for our table and it was made clear that we needed to eat and leave as soon as possible as there was a table of 8 people due to begin their meal and dining experience at 7pm, I hadn't even finished mouthful and our plates were taken, we hadn't asked for the bill as we w...
