"Took the U-Bahn #79 from central Düsseldorf to Kaiserswerther to visit the Kaiserpfalz ruins of Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa's Royal Palace (25 minute ride). After the ruins visit we wandered the streets of Central Kaiserswerth looking for a lunch cafe. Settled on Einhorn for its interior...ambience, and it was full of local diners. We had good service from the staff with our zero German and their limited English. We started with a large pour of a German Chardonnay a Riesling. For food we had a good very thin crust Margarita style pizza and off the Saturday special menu (3 choices different each day Monday to Saturday) the thick ham slice with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut lots of food, tasty but a bit on the salty side. Enjoyable lunch break in a cozy atmosphere."

the place looks really nice and has a good ambiente. eating is decent, but the service too slow. it was obviously busy, but still the waiting time was too long.

Found this by chance when strolling through this lovely small town. Great alt beer, friendly service, staff can converse in English if needed. Cosy bar for a drink or two!

Metting and eating here was between 2010-2014 a tradition in my life. Now back after a number of years everything was according to expectation. I enjoyed a traditional dinner and the great service. When you are in my old heimat Kaiserwerth don't miss zum Einhorn ..!

There was a Munich theme at this very local type bar/restaurant. We drank very good Lowenbraue beer. The liver soup, white sausage weisswurstl , the einhorn salad with bratkartoffeln and eggs and liver. Very different to English food but good for a change....Very friendly staff and really nice ‘ German ‘ feel to it.

This is a nice traditional bar/restaurant with a tasty menu. There's something for everyone whether you fancy pizza (nice thin crisp base), pasta or something typically German. There's a good choice of German beers including the local Dusseldorf brew. The bar area is comfortable and...the staff very friendly. Price/Quality ratio is excellent. Full marks.

I received a warm welcome from my server. she was very gracious and in vain from my terrible German when I asked if it was carving (I did not ask for an English menu). various carving options were offered. I was delicious, served with. a cream sauce and mushrooms, a hill or a fry and a welcome fresh partial salad. all washed with a few tasty weizenbieren for around €20. perfect. View menu

Das Einhorn is located along the main food and drink promenade of Kaiserswerth leading to the river walk. Occupying a historic building, Einhorn serves authentic German food. In appropriate weather, they have some outdoor seating. The interior is not overdone, nor modern. We had rollmops,...spicy shrimp and a seafood salad, all well done. Service was a bit frumpy, but efficient. No annoying background music.

in this traditional restaurant I had lunch and was not disappointed. I chose a dish from the menu of the day and was satisfied with it. the service was friendly and fast. the interieur is a little old, but has a certain charm. in summer they can also sit on some tables in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, there is no wlan and the network of my mobile radio operator could only offer me a black hole. who comes with the car must be aware that it is difficult to find a parking space close by.
