"Was charged 50p for a pot of ketchup... I think that's stupid considering you serve chips.... Hot dogs were not really footlong when they changed the sizing of sausage and put 2 in rather than 1. Coleslaw was missing.... Medium rare steak was well done..... Loved this place before but won't be going back"

"We turned up mid afternoon on a Saturday. We stood by the sign ‘Please wait to be seated’ The place was about 1/3rd full so not really busy. There were a lot of staff standing around chatting to each other and occasionally attending to a customer. We we waited and waited in fact over 15 minutes before some chap bothered to come up to us by which time my partner said they don’t deserve our money or business let’s go. I spoke to the member of staff and told him how poor it is and how I’m not going to spend my money with you people when you cannot be bothered to show that you want me as a customer and they couldn’t care less. Funny how this branch has today been identified for closure and good job too the staff don’t deserve to work in hospitality because they have no customer skills and couldn’t care less and long as they get paid we’ll no more because you’re out of a job and good riddance I say."

"Just stopped in as my son wanted a milkshake. Walked up to a counter that said milkshake with a till. Stood there for a few seconds when a lady rudely told us we have to go to another till. Never been here before to order just a milkshake so was slightly confused. Went to the till to order milkshake and once paid was told to go back to the original counter with the sign saying milkshakes. Stood there where the first rudely lady was still standing completely ignoring myself and son. So when I asked how does this work she looked me up and down and said” she’s busy pointing to her colleague making milkshakes. I than replied I’m only trying to find out how it all works. She then responded with what class as rude gestures and a complete attitude. I work in retail and would never think of talking to customers in this way. She then walked off still wanting to argue to go off to clean. Will carry on using this establishment but shame about staffs attitude."

"After reading the good reviews we gave it a go. Sadly we were disappointed. Service was pretty poor, we felt like an inconvenience and the staff seemed quite indifferent towards us. Waited for a table to be ready for us even though we booked, then waited ages to even see the menu. Asked the waitress for drinks and it was as if we were hassling her. Hoped the food would live up to the hype, but it was distinctly average. The roast was ok, not the best, not the worst. Slightly better than a carvery, however the beef was chewy and the roast potatoes weren’t nice at all. Roast chicken and pork were nice, as was the cauliflower cheese. I got the ploughman’s, which again, was mediocre. Puddings were ok, sounded nicer than they actually were and no custard available for the treacle tart. On a Sunday the only option for children was a child’s roast, that’s it. Sadly we probably wouldn’t return."

"We were really looking forward to having our first night out as a couple in a very long time! We were given a dining out card as a Christmas gift and decided we would use the green man as the first time using a vintage inn. Really sorry to say, but this place needs an awful lot of work! It was very very quiet which usually means good service in most places. However, not the case here. As I am currently trying to eat healthy, I’d already decided what I was going to order prior to arrival after checking on the website. However, it was kindly explained to me by the waitress (I think the only time we saw her) that you couldn’t remove a sauce from a meal as no food is prepared fresh, it is pre-portioned first thing in the morning and reheated throughout the day so I cannot remove the sauce from any meal. However, a female manager did then by chance ask if we were okay and she explained that we would be able to have the sauce on the side. However, all of this was irrelevant as when I saw another table the fishcakes the sauce comes on the side anyway, not the best start. The starters were pretty mediocre, just deep fried stuff, but hey it’s not high end prices so you can live with it. Not sure why with no need to cook anything they took so long. This was the first time we saw the cook, a young girl with long dark hair, casually strolling through the restaurant in a uniform that looked like it hadn’t been washed in a week, playing on her phone and running her hands through her hair, I’d bet any amount of money they weren’t washed before back on the microwaves and deep fryers. The waitress did show up for the second and last time to remove the starter plates with a ‘How was it’ comment. This now became more of a comedy night than a meal out. Our hair playing cook then sent out the mains, and if you’ve ever seen that episode of friends where Chandler lives with the crazy guy that dehydrates everything, well I assume he was the 2nd cook. Have a look a the Brocolli served with the fish cakes. It is genuinely funny! We couldn’t complain, there was nobody about anymore. Oh other than when we finished the illusive waitress appeared from nowhere quicker than the flash super hero to clear a nearby table, I then realised it was because they’d been silly enough to leave a tip on the table. Of which she didn’t bother to wipe once she’d banked the cash. The manager lady did come and eventually take our plates, not asking how anything was, so I quickly asked if the broccoli was meant to be like that. She answered no, and did offer to remove my meal from the bill, it’s a shame because if there had been some sort of check back I wouldn’t have left hungry. So we waited for the bill… and waited… the manager lady had disappeared… the waitress (and I use this term tongue in cheek) was busy on her knees taking through the host stand to a regular drinker, as the other manager (make) in a check shirt walked around the bar on his phone when he wasn’t having banter with drinkers. This isn’t a real restaurant, I wouldn’t bother going if you’ve bothered to get to the end of this long review. I’d imagine this review will only get read by people currently in the restaurant waiting for their mains. If that’s you… get ready for disappointment."

"It would seem a special sort of talent when, after ordering a Tandoori King Prawn Shashlik at a pricey £11.95, to instead serve up a £5.75 Poneer Tikka, then deny all knowledge of my ever having ordered the Shashlik in the first place. They did however, total the order up to the penny as if I HAD ordered the meal that I actually DID order. Isn 't thst funny? This was a large order for 5 people, and I read the list out over the phone and ticked them off as the gentleman on the other end of the phone said Yes... (to move onto the next item). We collected, and only when we got home realised that we should have received a 10% discount which naturally we didn 't. We unpacked, and were confused as to the dish of flaccid white lumps coated in tikka sauce. Everyone had their allotted dish, and mine was, well...who knew! Certainly it wasn 't Tandoori King Prawn Shashlik. Putting on a disappointed yet brave face I delved in. It was cheese. But not just cheese, but dairy so flabby and flavourless that it made Tofu seem full of perzazz. It was pretty dismal, and after one or two mouthfuls decided to give it a trip to the bin. My other half rang to ask what had happened, and the gent who took the order said that Shashlik was definitely NOT on the list. Oh yes? Then how did you charge me for it? And if that WASN 'T on the list, then where the heck did this underwhelming Poneer Tikka at nearly a third of the cost of the Shashlik, emerge from?? I got the feeling the boss and usual staff were away and this was the relief crew who didn 't care and who thought they could get away with it. Three of our party of 5 found their dishes substandard, which is very unusual as we normally rate Sher E Bangla as the best local takeaway. Not now. Don 't pull the wool over our eyes, we 've been customers for decades and now you 've just gone and lost us for good along with your good reputation. Also they implied on the phone that my boyfriend was blatantly lying to get more food. This was NOT THE CASE. How dare the staff think that this is an acceptable way to do business! Want to make target for the night but keep to budget? Just charge triple the cost and give customers the cheapest meal on the menu and hope they just swallow it. Pretty shabby way to do business, don 't you think?"

"I don't usually bother with leaving negative reviews, but...We had high hopes for this restaurant as it looked cool and clean from outside. We went in today and ordered 2 chicken shish kebabs and a quarter pounder with cheese. The girl took our order and we said we wanted all the salad available. We didn't have to wait too long, got our order (although we had to ask for some chilli sauce as there was none in our package) and left. At home, when we opened the packaging, we discovered that we had no salad whatsoever included, only meat and lots of chips. And the worst thing was that everything was sooo tasteless, so bland, the chicken, the burger, everything, that I couldn't eat my food for nearly £9! So no salad, but tasteless chicken and chips. My husband and my son said the same thing, so we all agreed that it was absolutely awful!Disgraceful, disgusting and expensive for that quality. And we are not one of the competitions, just ordinary customers, but this was one of the worst food experiences we've ever had!"

"Orible the girl at the cash register treated us badly just because I ordered 4 drinks we had 3 children who obviously don't drink soda she wanted to give me 7 sodas in total I said only 4 she got upset and told me that we are not in Venezuela and that we didn't have to to share the sodas with the babies, she thought I was a die-hard, I asked for 4 sodas because since I will give a huge glass of soda to the children, it is not for lack of money, it is for the children's health, she understood that because I only wanted to pay for 4 sodas thought that I have nowhere to fall dead last time I set foot in that place orible is racist and another thing she is Hispanic what a disgusting person also for your information we were not Venezuelans nor do I know why she told me that alone I feel sorry for anyone I will never go back to set foot in that orible place I hope they fire that poorly educated girl bye"

"I recently tried the new vegan burgers at this restaurant. They were incredibly juicy and flavorful, but unfortunately they didn't come with any sauce. I wish there were more vegan options on the menu, as there were only two vegan meals available. I also heard that the vegan burger is only available for a limited time, possibly as a trial to gauge its popularity. I suggest giving it a try before it's gone."

"We made an early reservation at the restaurant, which was nearly empty, but the service, though friendly, was slow. Since we were looking for a quick lunch, we ordered sandwiches - my friend chose the steak sandwich for £10, while I opted for the Club sandwich for £11. Both sandwiches were served on thick-cut sourdough bread that was difficult to cut and bite through. My Club sandwich was supposed to have chicken, egg, lettuce, and bacon according to the menu, but the egg was cold and scrambled, there was no bacon, and the lettuce was limp and uninspiring, resulting in a bland and unappetizing sandwich. My friend's sandwich was also disappointing, with cold steak and soggy sauerkraut. However, our saving grace was the delicious chips. Despite enjoying good meals during previous visits and liking the atmosphere of the restaurant, we were let down by the lackluster food this time."

"While Ask Italian may not offer the best pasta or Italian food, I absolutely love this restaurant because it is so family-friendly. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a small shot glass of homemade lemonade. The children's menu is fantastic, as it includes vegetables at no extra cost. When a restaurant pays attention to the children's menu, you know they will take care of the adults as well. The convenience of having a toilet within the restaurant's facilities saved us from having to search for one in the mall. I would definitely return to this restaurant."

"Having arrived home from holiday abroad we thought we would re-visit a pub for lunch we hadn’t been to for a while and make the most of our time off before going back to work. BIG MISTAKE. Overseas not only do you get a warm sun but also a warm welcome, table service and great food at decent prices. When we arrived we ordered drinks a pint and a glass of wine for £12 something! and told that the tills were not open so they could only take cards. No deal breaker but a bit annoying. We asked for a menu and were told where they were and advised to order at the bar with a table number when ready. I get that this is the British way but it’s rubbish. Tell diners to sit and you’ll be over in a moment to take their order – it’s 2023 and times are hard to these places should be upping their game to look after and retain customers. We chose the fish and chips £17.50! and a “Applewood cheese apple chutney” sandwich £8 . Sounds lovely, I thought. The better half went to the bar to order we were sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and I asked that if there was a choice i’d prefer crusty white doorstop bread or French stick but ok with a decent granary. After all this was “Applewood cheese apple chutney”. The ale I ordered was very cloudy but I couldn’t bothered to moan – I was still on holiday and in a good mood. The wine was apparently quite nice but the price was on par of a half litre of the decent local wine we’d just returned from. The food arrived in a good time but without cutlery, but we were told where it was before the young lady used her initiative and said she would bring us some. At last some kind of “service”! Now to the food. The fish and chips certainly looked impressive. Very large fish and decent looking ships. Thankfully the slimmer end of the fish was good. However, with the thicker parts the batter was undercooked so doughy and the fish a bit watery. Not what you would expect for £17.50. However, this was trumped by the cheese sandwich that came up on a small plate and consisted of two thin slices of supermarket sliced bread cut into quarters with a filling of grated cheese and some gloopy stuff. It did have a few green leaves on the side, to be fair. But for eight quid I and I think most would have expected more. I’m not usually shy of complaining when it’s due but didn’t want to cause trouble for the young girl serving and thought I would contact the company directly. I emailed the Director of Pubs at Shepherd Neame to complain instead and provided a photo of the very offending cheese sandwich. In his reply Director of Pubs who, apprently, i can't name but will know who he is did “wholeheartedly agree” and said it was “well below” their standards. An offer of a meal voucher was offered and, having enjoyed days and nights there before and believing in second chances, accepted the offer. That was on 25th May. Over a month later I am yet to hear anything. Whilst I am happy to give a second chance to a place that makes the effort and genuinely wants to offer an apology and welcome customers back, I think my business here is done. At a time when many businesses are struggling places like this should be going that extra mile to ensure everything is tip top or more so. And when they get something wrong they should be putting it right. Quickly. With so many pubs closing at a fast rate it’s a shame that the Manor Farm Barn is still open when so many other, better places have been forced to close."

"I had taken away twice from this restaurant since I moved into the opposite and honestly I can say it is the best Chinese I had in years! the food was perfect where I could definitely see that fresh ingredients were used, with good taste and the dishes were pipping hot. the service at both locations was extremely good and professional. I will use this establishment again and would recover it to anyone who is after some decent chinese."

"As deliveroo rider working in Bluewater for two and half to 3 yrs on job. I find the management really difficult to grasp and their regularity regarding present on site. I feel as though even when I need to go and re-enter they shun away those who won't stick to the site refuse to handover order, on the other hand they took half hour to an hour to prepare. If you can't deliver on time, don't alert driver of arrival when food is not prepared. Cuckoo management wrong use of tongue here, I mean snidey rules."

"We stayed here for 5 nights! We usually love Holiday Inn in the United States, but this place was disappointing. The free wifi was a complete joke. The rooms were small and overpriced. It seemed like the staff didn't care much about customer service. The beds were uncomfortable and the water temperature in the shower kept changing. The lounge had limited food options, unlike the Premier Inn across the street, which has the Beefeater Grill and the Beacon Bar with more choices. Overall, we would not recommend staying here unless you are okay with discomfort. Unfortunately, we couldn't check out early since it was pre-paid. Otherwise, enjoy your time in England; there's plenty to do but not enough time to do it all!"

"First time I've had or even heard of ASK Italian but glad I found out. I did want a cheeky Nandos but the queue was ridiculous and ASK had a few tables and no queue... Sat and seen to pretty quickly and given a free shot of lemonade while we pondered over the menu and asked if every course was okay and attentive to our drinks when they were empty. We had a really lovely woman who served us. Starter: calamari delicious, light, fluffy coating on the outside with just the right amount of sauce to dip in to. Arancini balls (wife's) where very tasty too. Main: calzone absolutely packed with hot delicious meats and sauce. Not like a lot of places where you get 25% filling and 75% dough. Dessert: baked chocolate gnocchi I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was absolutely without a doubt, one of my favourite desserts I've ever had!! The pastry was hot/warm/fresh, dipped into chocolate and then with a bite you find this smooth warm chocolate inside... I would go back for this alone! But while I'm there I'd definitely have it all again. Cant fault the food or the service one bit. Gotta give it 4* purely because it's a family place and there's young humans about who can be a bit loud and distracting. Also found the seating functional and not comfy for a sit down meal."

"In January we had a lovely family lunch for my birthday, sadly things seem to have gone downhill .We were asked to pre order which we did , however some of our guest who had not pre orders decided on the day to have starters .We waited ages then when the starters came out they had forgotten to do the pre orders ones , so another long wait while they cooked those.A hour and a half after finishing our starters we finally got the mains .We were given complimentary drinks for the mess up over starters , which was a nice gesture. However when it came to paying we split the bill five ways and paid separately, they forgot to take off the service charge then asked us for it .One member of staff was reprimanding her colleague in front of everyone for forgetting the service charge , when this was pointed out to her she was rude and worse of all started to complain about us to everyone.Unaceptable behaviour from one member of staff , the other staff were very good .The food was amazing as always but the poor service and bad attitude of one staff member rather ruined my husband's birthday lunch ."

"Terrible service actually the worse I have experienced in a long time I was still eating my main and we got given the bill she then brought the card machine over 2 seconds later asking me to pay the bill all whilst still eating as the forgot my main so had to wait whilst everyone else was eating she then put the cost in the machine £30 over then what the bill said I didn’t notice this until it was too late and we had paid finally the manager came over laughing and found it funny we had been over charged by £30 she arranged a refund but so rude and just a terrible attitude the stuff had won’t be returning"
