"Was so looking forward to meeting up with my family and having a meal for the first time in a while. Walked into the restaurant and was straight away told that they are NOT serving alcohol and I should have been told on the phone...when I booked (which i wasnt, otherwise I wouldnt have booked here). Hey ho! Do my liver a break!! The meal was ok, but was not expecting the price of the bill to be '173 for 6 of us (2 of those were children) and also that was with NO alcohol on the bill, I really thought it was a joke but NOPE.... I nearly fell over... it definitely definitely definitely wasnt worth that amount of money!!! SHOCKED!!.I then asked did we not get a discount as of part of the eat out discount scheme as it was a monday evening but NOPE they havent signed up to it (maybe my fault for not asking) but you would of thought they would have mentioned it knowing we hadn't been told about the NO alcohol situation, I know it's not alot of but it would have helped lol. Wont be recommend to anyone!!!! Unless they dont mind remortgaging there house to pay the bill .Lol. Definitely wont be going back any time soon!!!! SO WISH WE WALKED AWAY WHEN THEY SAID NO ALCOHOL (might not have even remembered the price if I'd had a drink lol "

"We turned up mid afternoon on a Saturday. We stood by the sign ‘Please wait to be seated’ The place was about 1/3rd full so not really busy. There were a lot of staff standing around chatting to each other and occasionally attending to a customer. We we waited and waited in fact over 15 minutes before some chap bothered to come up to us by which time my partner said they don’t deserve our money or business let’s go. I spoke to the member of staff and told him how poor it is and how I’m not going to spend my money with you people when you cannot be bothered to show that you want me as a customer and they couldn’t care less. Funny how this branch has today been identified for closure and good job too the staff don’t deserve to work in hospitality because they have no customer skills and couldn’t care less and long as they get paid we’ll no more because you’re out of a job and good riddance I say."

"It's a bit confusing looking at the extras menu and knowing what to add to the already delicious burger . But finally getting near to perfection double cheese burger , lettuce , jalapeño , relish and mustard absolutely amazing but next time might just add onions and then I think my life will be complete . Great food great service great atmosphere what more can one ask . 50% off would be nice"

"After reading the good reviews we gave it a go. Sadly we were disappointed. Service was pretty poor, we felt like an inconvenience and the staff seemed quite indifferent towards us. Waited for a table to be ready for us even though we booked, then waited ages to even see the menu. Asked the waitress for drinks and it was as if we were hassling her. Hoped the food would live up to the hype, but it was distinctly average. The roast was ok, not the best, not the worst. Slightly better than a carvery, however the beef was chewy and the roast potatoes weren’t nice at all. Roast chicken and pork were nice, as was the cauliflower cheese. I got the ploughman’s, which again, was mediocre. Puddings were ok, sounded nicer than they actually were and no custard available for the treacle tart. On a Sunday the only option for children was a child’s roast, that’s it. Sadly we probably wouldn’t return."

"We were really looking forward to having our first night out as a couple in a very long time! We were given a dining out card as a Christmas gift and decided we would use the green man as the first time using a vintage inn. Really sorry to say, but this place needs an awful lot of work! It was very very quiet which usually means good service in most places. However, not the case here. As I am currently trying to eat healthy, I’d already decided what I was going to order prior to arrival after checking on the website. However, it was kindly explained to me by the waitress (I think the only time we saw her) that you couldn’t remove a sauce from a meal as no food is prepared fresh, it is pre-portioned first thing in the morning and reheated throughout the day so I cannot remove the sauce from any meal. However, a female manager did then by chance ask if we were okay and she explained that we would be able to have the sauce on the side. However, all of this was irrelevant as when I saw another table the fishcakes the sauce comes on the side anyway, not the best start. The starters were pretty mediocre, just deep fried stuff, but hey it’s not high end prices so you can live with it. Not sure why with no need to cook anything they took so long. This was the first time we saw the cook, a young girl with long dark hair, casually strolling through the restaurant in a uniform that looked like it hadn’t been washed in a week, playing on her phone and running her hands through her hair, I’d bet any amount of money they weren’t washed before back on the microwaves and deep fryers. The waitress did show up for the second and last time to remove the starter plates with a ‘How was it’ comment. This now became more of a comedy night than a meal out. Our hair playing cook then sent out the mains, and if you’ve ever seen that episode of friends where Chandler lives with the crazy guy that dehydrates everything, well I assume he was the 2nd cook. Have a look a the Brocolli served with the fish cakes. It is genuinely funny! We couldn’t complain, there was nobody about anymore. Oh other than when we finished the illusive waitress appeared from nowhere quicker than the flash super hero to clear a nearby table, I then realised it was because they’d been silly enough to leave a tip on the table. Of which she didn’t bother to wipe once she’d banked the cash. The manager lady did come and eventually take our plates, not asking how anything was, so I quickly asked if the broccoli was meant to be like that. She answered no, and did offer to remove my meal from the bill, it’s a shame because if there had been some sort of check back I wouldn’t have left hungry. So we waited for the bill… and waited… the manager lady had disappeared… the waitress (and I use this term tongue in cheek) was busy on her knees taking through the host stand to a regular drinker, as the other manager (make) in a check shirt walked around the bar on his phone when he wasn’t having banter with drinkers. This isn’t a real restaurant, I wouldn’t bother going if you’ve bothered to get to the end of this long review. I’d imagine this review will only get read by people currently in the restaurant waiting for their mains. If that’s you… get ready for disappointment."

"Ordered from these guys quite a few times and just constantly forgetting my orders. So tonight I ordered a meal for 2 with a bottle of coke. My order comes but no bottle of coke ? I then call up and say you didn’t bring it they then say can you wait or you need it now? Of course I need it now I need to wash my food down ??? Then just told them last time I’ll order with u guys and hung up. Like I said they’ve done this multiple times. To top it off food is way over priced !"

"We tried to place a telephone order without success so used their online ordering service. We ordered about £75 of food and used an online discount code The order said 1 hour. It took 1 1/2 hours!! The food was finally delivered but incomplete We phoned the takeaway and asked for a cash refund to be dropped off for the one missing item….he wouldn’t do it. The next day we went to the takeaway. My wife was inside for >10 mins (I was in the car) but he wouldn’t provide the refund. I then got out the car and went in. It was the same story….no refund. In fact he kept going on and on about the discount voucher we used. This had no relevance to an incomplete delivery. How difficult is it to take a few pounds of cash from the till and give us our refund for food not delivered I finally gave up and told him if I didn’t get the refund I would call the police. Next minute he started rambling on about people he knew from Parliament and being in business for 20 years. Rather than just give me my money back he said “go on then call the police”……..so ridiculous especially as he admitted he owed us the money !! DISGUSTING SERVICE to a customer when he left us short on the delivery. We shouldn’t have to beg to get our cash back. AVOID !!"

"What is it that makes you choose one place over another when you want to eat or enjoy an evening together especially if the food is much the same as many others? It has to be the service and atmosphere surely. The Bull at Greenhithe seemed much like many others on entry but quickly a barman came to us, and after asking what we needed was soon trying his hardest to ensure we had a good visit. Having been stuck at The Tunnel for an hour our 90 minute journey was already 3 hrs long. We needed conveniences and a quick snack. And even though it was obvious we were not going to spend much time or money our barman and another were incredibly helpful and obliging. My request for very white coffee was noted. We were told that coffee came from a machine but we would each be supplied with a small jug of hot water to ensure we were satisfied. And satisfied we were as the barman helped us modify the order to our liking. Throughout our visit we felt that the people who came to help us cared and wanted us to enjoy our experience. It was obviously the end of a long and busy period for Jake, Matthew and Byron. There were difficulties of supply and regulars were at times not completely satisfied. All I can say is that when we left we felt we had visited a pub that was one of many but the experience we had made it one of few. Thankyou Jake, Matthew and Byron."

"First visit to this establishment yesterday. Very polite staff. The customers were seated next to each other so no social distance between us being followed so we felt a bit uncomfortable. Waiting a long time for our food to arrive. Two other tables of people were given their orders before us and we were seated at least 15 minutes before them. Not that our food order was complicated just a toasted sandwich and a baguette and two cokes. When the food arrived it was very nice. However payment was made by my mother who wasn’t aware of the discount and was charged the full amount unbeknowing to myself until we had left the restaurant. So I just checked on the government website to see participation of the scheme to see if they are actually on it and apparently they are."

"While Ask Italian may not offer the best pasta or Italian food, I absolutely love this restaurant because it is so family-friendly. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a small shot glass of homemade lemonade. The children's menu is fantastic, as it includes vegetables at no extra cost. When a restaurant pays attention to the children's menu, you know they will take care of the adults as well. The convenience of having a toilet within the restaurant's facilities saved us from having to search for one in the mall. I would definitely return to this restaurant."

"Having arrived home from holiday abroad we thought we would re-visit a pub for lunch we hadn’t been to for a while and make the most of our time off before going back to work. BIG MISTAKE. Overseas not only do you get a warm sun but also a warm welcome, table service and great food at decent prices. When we arrived we ordered drinks a pint and a glass of wine for £12 something! and told that the tills were not open so they could only take cards. No deal breaker but a bit annoying. We asked for a menu and were told where they were and advised to order at the bar with a table number when ready. I get that this is the British way but it’s rubbish. Tell diners to sit and you’ll be over in a moment to take their order – it’s 2023 and times are hard to these places should be upping their game to look after and retain customers. We chose the fish and chips £17.50! and a “Applewood cheese apple chutney” sandwich £8 . Sounds lovely, I thought. The better half went to the bar to order we were sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and I asked that if there was a choice i’d prefer crusty white doorstop bread or French stick but ok with a decent granary. After all this was “Applewood cheese apple chutney”. The ale I ordered was very cloudy but I couldn’t bothered to moan – I was still on holiday and in a good mood. The wine was apparently quite nice but the price was on par of a half litre of the decent local wine we’d just returned from. The food arrived in a good time but without cutlery, but we were told where it was before the young lady used her initiative and said she would bring us some. At last some kind of “service”! Now to the food. The fish and chips certainly looked impressive. Very large fish and decent looking ships. Thankfully the slimmer end of the fish was good. However, with the thicker parts the batter was undercooked so doughy and the fish a bit watery. Not what you would expect for £17.50. However, this was trumped by the cheese sandwich that came up on a small plate and consisted of two thin slices of supermarket sliced bread cut into quarters with a filling of grated cheese and some gloopy stuff. It did have a few green leaves on the side, to be fair. But for eight quid I and I think most would have expected more. I’m not usually shy of complaining when it’s due but didn’t want to cause trouble for the young girl serving and thought I would contact the company directly. I emailed the Director of Pubs at Shepherd Neame to complain instead and provided a photo of the very offending cheese sandwich. In his reply Director of Pubs who, apprently, i can't name but will know who he is did “wholeheartedly agree” and said it was “well below” their standards. An offer of a meal voucher was offered and, having enjoyed days and nights there before and believing in second chances, accepted the offer. That was on 25th May. Over a month later I am yet to hear anything. Whilst I am happy to give a second chance to a place that makes the effort and genuinely wants to offer an apology and welcome customers back, I think my business here is done. At a time when many businesses are struggling places like this should be going that extra mile to ensure everything is tip top or more so. And when they get something wrong they should be putting it right. Quickly. With so many pubs closing at a fast rate it’s a shame that the Manor Farm Barn is still open when so many other, better places have been forced to close."

"As deliveroo rider working in Bluewater for two and half to 3 yrs on job. I find the management really difficult to grasp and their regularity regarding present on site. I feel as though even when I need to go and re-enter they shun away those who won't stick to the site refuse to handover order, on the other hand they took half hour to an hour to prepare. If you can't deliver on time, don't alert driver of arrival when food is not prepared. Cuckoo management wrong use of tongue here, I mean snidey rules."

"I recently tried the new vegan burgers at this restaurant. They were incredibly juicy and flavorful, but unfortunately they didn't come with any sauce. I wish there were more vegan options on the menu, as there were only two vegan meals available. I also heard that the vegan burger is only available for a limited time, possibly as a trial to gauge its popularity. I suggest giving it a try before it's gone."

"We booked a table for 2 pm on 29th oct, was greeted warmly and shown to our table,we ordered drinks, i had a very watery tasteless coffee, but i let that go, we then ordered our meals, and waited...... and waited, we had not ordered anything exotic, just a couple of roasts and a Childrens meal, it took an hour to produce the said meals, and they were not worth the wait, they must have been standing for an age ,waiting to be served,as they were stone cold, the roast potatoes were frozen ones, as so were the yorkshire puddings, what sort of restaurant doesn 't cook them fresh?.And relies on Aunt Bessie ? Even my grandaughter left her fries as they were like rubber and cold. The waitresses were ran ragged, trying to keep up with the tables around us, hence the fact the food was allowed to stand and get cold.my granddaughter saw one of the chefs , i use that term lightly , picking up potatoes , with his hands and putting them on plates. My son talked me out of calling a manager,as we were already running late due to the time taken to get our food, so i contacted Beefeater with my experience as soon as i got home, and as to date i have heard nothing, i even filled out a survey they emailed me saying they hoped i enjoyed my meal, again no response , hopefully it will be picked up here and they can tell me if cold, reheated frozen food is something they are happy to serve, £54 down the drain"

"First time I've had or even heard of ASK Italian but glad I found out. I did want a cheeky Nandos but the queue was ridiculous and ASK had a few tables and no queue... Sat and seen to pretty quickly and given a free shot of lemonade while we pondered over the menu and asked if every course was okay and attentive to our drinks when they were empty. We had a really lovely woman who served us. Starter: calamari delicious, light, fluffy coating on the outside with just the right amount of sauce to dip in to. Arancini balls (wife's) where very tasty too. Main: calzone absolutely packed with hot delicious meats and sauce. Not like a lot of places where you get 25% filling and 75% dough. Dessert: baked chocolate gnocchi I don't have much of a sweet tooth but this was absolutely without a doubt, one of my favourite desserts I've ever had!! The pastry was hot/warm/fresh, dipped into chocolate and then with a bite you find this smooth warm chocolate inside... I would go back for this alone! But while I'm there I'd definitely have it all again. Cant fault the food or the service one bit. Gotta give it 4* purely because it's a family place and there's young humans about who can be a bit loud and distracting. Also found the seating functional and not comfy for a sit down meal."

"Wedding reception venue simply wonderful We booked this venue late in the spring, a month or two before the wedding day. We did not expect the organisation and dedication that became obvious as soon as we turned up for the day. This lovely group of ladies delivered a smooth and hiccup less afternoon and evening. The table and room dressing was set up beautifully. We were able to bring a little blue tooth stereo to run our two play lists from and a couple of lights. We had a seated party for 50 dining in the main and over 100 in attendance for the buffet and evening do that went on until 11pm. The starters and main courses were simply delicious, there was not a single complaint and the buffet saw people taking sandwiches, samosa's home with them, as well as the sweet treats. We used the garden and the orangery as our wedding platform, great to see the kids running around out back and so many tables, chairs, and parasols for shade. My only suggestion for improvement, and this is being picky, is perhaps a 2nd AC machine in the orangery as this is such an excellent sun trap. This venue and indeed service was excellent value for money so we left a nice tip, the least we could do in the circumstances. We were able to say thank you to the chef and staff before we left, but it is very hard to convey what a splendid job they did in making our day really stress free and special. I could not recommend this venue enough. Only 1 photo attached due to lack of photographer at the reception just to illustrate the open feel and lay out."

"Me and my partner came here as our usual favourite restaurant was fully booked but glad they were otherwise we wouldn't have found our new favourite! Definitely recommend for a safe, friendly atmosphere."
