"Visited this establishment this afternoon..ordered a simple order of 2 x teas and 2 x sausage sandwiches. The teas came within 5 minutes and the sandwiches took nearly 30 minutes !!! Needless to say the teas were cold by then...and the sausage was not of a good quality at all. In fact rather cheap quality to say the least at £4.95 each. When this was brought to the owners attention, she became argumentative and said we've been very busy.... Well.... please get some more staff then.. There was one lady cook and the lady herself who was front of house.... more staff needed one thinks !!!!! A poor experience all round... and won't be going back anytime soon...."

"Where to start… we were a party of 8, 6 adults and 2 toddlers and was only in the area for an event which was about 10 minutes away so thought it would be an ideal location. We had a table booked for 4.30 and arrived at approx 4.15, we were seated almost immediately, that’s where it went downhill. The table was dirty and we cleaned this with anti bac wipes that are carried for the babies. After waiting for about 50 minutes being totally ignored, we went to seek staff to place our order. We were given dirty dishes for the salad bar, the cutlery provided in the containers had food stuck to it, not just one item but at least three of the forks, we again had to seek staff out to get all of this sorted. Our food did not start arriving until 17.40, so this is now and hour and 10 minutes, to get food that in itself was quite simple, nothing extraordinary. The toddlers plates were so hot they would have been scalded if they had touched them. Two of our party ordered chicken, this was undercooked and not edible as it was pink inside. They cannot even say they were under pressure as there was only about 3 other couples in there. Due to the event we were attending, we had no time to see the manager as they were apparently busy, we just had to pay the bill and leave, what a complete waste to £160. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY, AVOID."

"We recently hosted a wonderful 90th birthday celebration at the Queens Head for 50 of our family members and friends. From the initial inquiry to the conclusion of the event, Ellie was incredibly helpful and eager to ensure that all of our requests were met in order to make the party a resounding success. The buffet provided was of excellent quality and exactly what we had hoped for. We also enjoyed seeing family photos displayed on the television and the perfect selection of background music playing. The birthday honoree had a fantastic time. We are looking forward to the next opportunity to host another celebration at the Queens Head!"

"We had a takeaway lockdown meal for four. Our food was well packaged, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Appreciating current pressures on food establishments, we were particularly pleased at the amount of food simply put, lots!!! The chilli and garlic sauces were perfect accomplishments. One very minor comment plain white rice (x 4) too much and really too bland. Not an issue that would ever cause me not to order again but a suggestion maybe less but more tasty carbs like a rice/couscous mix? We look forward to our next takeaway and, indeed, to when we can eat in."

"this was the first time here when I saw that it was recommended by locals in epping. after coming in the inner was very cozy and the atmosphere was really nice. we were on the inside through the window that was very breezy and the lighting was very nice. the menu has a selection of breakfast, burger, wraps, pasta, desserts, pages. (size) eating delicious and the presentation was perfect, it made me hungry to look at her. the portions are very generous and the quality of the plate was beautiful. I and my friends had ordered the following: crispy chicken burger, English breakfast and poppy breaky (French toast). as for the drinks was the order flat white groovy green smoothie, fresh orange juice. the only way was the service. it was a fight to tie every waitress here to order our food and then pay for the food again. I felt like they had many employees, but hardly a waitress. we had to go to the recipe to pay where we stood for a few minutes before we were recognized. minus the service I really enjoyed eating. we would definitely recommend and return. the quality of everything was really fresh. the orange was pressed fresh by a machine that was visible. the shop has been modernly decorated, but with a rustic feeling. the restaurant was neatly large and the place was full of customers who already had their food or just immersed for a coffee / tee break."

"we were very cramped on a table, others around us had 4 on the same size table, we had 6, we were sat by the door going up to the bar and the door was frequently opened to the outside, which was -2 digress so chilly. The chairs were brought in from the outside when more were needed, my chair was freezing. which made me feel very cold. the staff did shut the door to the outside but when ever anyone went up to the bar the cold whooshed in. The food was as ever lovely, and we had a nice time. but the table was too small for 6 of us and it was very cold. It was a shame as we were celebrating my sons 18th birthday and we didn't want to feel like that."

"Tried this takeaway in the past a few years ago. Felt that their metal containers were to big, so it seemed you had all meat, fish veg at the bottom with curried gravy on top. Tried last month for the first time for a few years. the food was delicious. Came in the plastic containers, that you can wash and re use at home. I asked for something i liked, not on the menu, they made it for me. more a mix between two dishes with saag aloo. I paid on my debit card without asking how much, and worked out at £11 for the whole meal. That is with king prawns and very happy with that for the quality of the food. The food is excellent and affordable for a treat and offer a discount like most for non delivery. Only thing, is as you walk in, needs a facelift. Said this to the new owner. everything is clean, though and offered to help to give ideas on a budget. it is not an eat in place, around the corner from me, and will use again."

"This charming and cozy village pub offers delicious British cuisine. We decided to try their Wednesday lunch special for pensioners, which included 2 courses for £6.50. The menu featured a selection of 3-4 main dishes and desserts. I opted for the classic ham, egg, and chips, which was very enjoyable, while my dining companion tried the fish and chips with mushy peas. The homemade mint Aero cheesecake with ice cream was a standout dessert, and the fruit salad with ice cream was also a hit. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pub offers a good selection of real ales for ale enthusiasts, as well as 3 wines on tap and other typical pub drinks for those who prefer wine."

"Christmas day is not usually a day I would choose to spend in a restaurant. Yesterday's visit surpassed all expectations. Service excellent, food excellent, ambience first rate. The staff went all out to make sure our requests were met, which incorporated certain items not as per menu, nothing was to much trouble. If the owners read this we were the party of 9 booked under Lisa. We would eat here again in a heartbeat and certainly have Christmas Dinner here. Give Cucina a try, you won't regret it."

"I had a wonderful experience on a cozy Friday night at The Hive's outdoor seating area, enjoying the welcoming atmosphere with both regular patrons and locals alike. The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, and the chef was accommodating in veganizing some items for me, which I truly appreciated. The prices were reasonable considering the excellent quality, especially when compared to other restaurants in the area. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. Unfortunately, I was too hungry to take photos of everything, but overall, it was a fantastic meal that I thoroughly enjoyed."

"Our friends dine at this restaurant regularly and highly recommend it. We were warmly welcomed and the hospitality continued throughout the evening. The waiter mentioned that the starters were quite generous in size, which turned out to be true. The mussels were unusually large for a starter and cooked perfectly in a delicious sauce. Two of us ordered the skate, which was also a generous portion and cooked to perfection with tender, creamy flesh. The pizza was carefully prepared and so big that we had leftovers to take home. The fillet Rossini was another standout dish, cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor, accompanied by just the right amount of vegetables. The atmosphere was wonderful, with other diners clearly enjoying themselves. I highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back soon."

"This was my third visit to this restaurant in the past 18 months, and this time it was my birthday treat. The food quality was fantastic and there was plenty of it. We sat in the upstairs area with armchairs and a table setting, which has a cozy old-school vibe. The restaurant is located in an arts center and community hub, so there is always something going on, but it didn't disturb our meal. We enjoyed a selection of finger sandwiches, cakes, and warm scones, with prompt refills of our tea pots. My son had a hot chocolate, and there are two sittings during the week at 12pm and 2 or 2:30pm. The restaurant has disable toilets and lifts available, as well as plenty of parking. The prices have gone up slightly, but it is still well worth it. I will definitely be returning, though I would like them to offer gift vouchers for the older generation who may appreciate it."

"21st July 2018. My son's weddinreception at the Squadron Club. Scorching hot day perfect weather, the bar and room was perfectly laid out and as it was so hot the initial reception was catered for outside. That included the double decker Bus Bar which catered for all needs with a super Pimms. Catering consisted of hors dourves on arrival and a full Bar B Q served by Billy Manning. He was a super host and his staff could not have been better, nothing too much trouble. The food was excellent and vegan requirements were catered for as well. The Disco for the evening was great and as a special request Billy served the famous Squadron bacon sarnis. Everything to make the day special was thought of by Billy who hosted it without any fuss. To top the day it was arranged that a Spitfire from hanger 11 not only taxied past the guests but what I can only describe as a private flypast of the plane took place (thanks to Peter Teichman) Superb day and all thanks to Billy and his staff."

"From the minute our order was taken it was a disaster. The electronic machine ran out of batteries half way through the order so the waiter had to get a pen and paper and start again. Then was then a very long wait. Two of our starters arrived (one missing garlic bread) before our drinks arrived. We were told that all the staff were new so would have to bare with them Still no food for our son and mother. Then the drinks arrived and the waitress didn 't even know what they were and just dumped them in front of us to guess. Still two starters missing. The garlic bread and child 's starter finally arrived but the first two starters had finished. We had to wait another 15 minutes for the final starter. When the mains came up the waitress again did not know what dish was what. I had order gluten free so was concerned that I was getting the right meal. Our sons was again last to arrive 5 minutes after ours. We asked for parmesan and it arrived after the bill! Then the waitress dropped a knife in my mother 's drink but didn 't offer to replace it. When we asked of we could have another she replied it was the clean end The attitude and excuses where unacceptable. I understand if there are new members or they are short staffed but the management was atrocious. The cost of our starters was removed from the bill and we decided to have dessert at home to save any more disasters occuring. Will not return. Ever!"

"Went here last night for the first time (now called Barber Cafe) and the food, service and decor is amazing! The lobster linguini on specials was outstanding, hope they keep it on the menu as I will now be a regular customer and want that everytime! Portions are a very good size, they don't rush you out the door and they were more than happy to make something for one of us who wanted something not on the menu."

"We had a really nice meal with friends and the food was lovely. My only critisism would be that at £7.50, the prawn cocktail starter was overpriced. The prawns and lettuce were very fresh but there was no bread with it as you would expect so it was quite a small portion for the money considering you can get a main meal for £10-12. It was quite busy but the staff was attentive and they were quick with both the food and drink orders. My main meal wasn't bought out with the others and I had to ask if they could check where it was as the other 3 had started eating their meals. It arrived a few minutes later. Overall a good experience and we would definitely go back again."

"Mulberry House is a charming historic building dating back to 1767, with well-maintained grounds that would be perfect for a wedding. The interior has been beautifully restored and modernized over the past decade. Although our afternoon tea was served in the dining room instead of the usual conservatory due to a large gathering, we still enjoyed views of the garden. The cost of the tea with prosecco was around £35 per person, slightly higher than other similar hotels in the area. The sandwiches were decent but typical, lacking variety. The scones were good, but only strawberry jam was available. The selection of cakes was also ordinary, lacking creativity in their presentation. Our waitress was friendly but made some simple mistakes, such as forgetting to bring iced water when requested. It was disappointing to be charged extra for additional sandwiches and cakes, a first in our experience of afternoon tea. Overall, the experience was average and we likely would not return to the hotel."

"We went to the Forresters arms today for lunch ,all I can say was it was amazing and one of the best lunches I have ever had. We had the crayfish salad, Nachos , King prawn pasta and wing of Skate . Everything was freshly cooked and home Made from scratch using the best high quality ingredients. The taste was out of this world and better quality of any London restaurants. Andrew the head chef has come from the Ritz London and brought his unique style with him to this cosy country pub. The pub is very family friendly , has a livery selection of wines , beers and ales . The waiting bar staff are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is to much trouble . They also offer a take away service Fri- Sunday including Sunday roast) A little gem and we will be returning soon ."

"This has changed hands since before lockdown, it was a place we used to regularly have lunch in. It's really gone down hill! We should have guessed why few people choose to eat there now as the car park was nearly empty and there were...lots of vacant tables. We ordered our food, how can a cafe run out of jacket potatoes at lunchtime? So after being told there were no Jack Pots left we opted for plain tuna salad; it stated on the menu that salads come with boiled potatoes. When they arrived they had no potatoes. I pointed it out to the waitress who said if you want potatoes with the salads you have to order them separately and, if you do ,they'll take time to cook. We didn't bother. We were later told they had run out of potatoes so it was just as well we didn't wait for the non-existent potatoes to arrive. The tuna on the salad was mixed with a whole heap of mayo, it was sat on a pile of iceberg lettuce, a few slices of tomato and a minuscule amount of sliced tinned olives, a few kernels of sweet corn and sliced peppers. That was it! Won't be retuning, it's a great pity as it's set in a nice location."

"We visited on a whim... We were welcomed by the most amazing and attentive front of house. He seated us in the front of the restaurant. He was so professional and knew the menu inside out along with the cocktail menu. We ate garlic prawns...with home made bread and dips , they were succulent and tasty. This was followed by a fried sea bass and a trio of meats. The meats were succulent and flavoured beautifully , the fish was well cooked in a tasty crust. Really too full for desert, but we decided to share the baclava with cream and ice cream this was delicious. This was a very welcome and unexpected lovely evening. Well done for the food and great staff."
