"This charming and cozy village pub offers delicious British cuisine. We decided to try their Wednesday lunch special for pensioners, which included 2 courses for £6.50. The menu featured a selection of 3-4 main dishes and desserts. I opted for the classic ham, egg, and chips, which was very enjoyable, while my dining companion tried the fish and chips with mushy peas. The homemade mint Aero cheesecake with ice cream was a standout dessert, and the fruit salad with ice cream was also a hit. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pub offers a good selection of real ales for ale enthusiasts, as well as 3 wines on tap and other typical pub drinks for those who prefer wine."

Dropped in for lunch in the garden. Nice pint of Doom Bar washed down a plate of ham egg and chips. Two eggs and chips were crispy. Very good.

Great old fashioned pub with good selection of beers (real and other) and great pub food. Warm welcome, good menu and the chips are outstanding.

This village bar is incredibly welcoming, with a spacious beer garden and comfortable seating. We enjoyed our drinks at the bar inside and the pub grub was fantastic.

This place is very small and unassuming from outside, but once inside it has plenty of space for a quiet drink. Staff and very friendly and service is quick. COVID measures are well handled with fast and efficient table service and hand sanitizer available on every table. View menu

You know when you fancy a traditional dinner with fresh veg? Well that’s exactly what we got. I had the lambs liver and bacon served with mash, runner beans, carrots and broccoli and hubby had steak and ale pie with the same veg and chips and gravy. Both served freshly cooked and piping hot, absolutely delicious

Nice country pub short distance from the River Stort. A group of us met up for the OAP lunch. Homemade food at its best. One lunchtime a week they do a very reasonable two course meal. The chips are crispy. The cheesecake yummy. We occupied the restaurant and occupied the room at the back with carefully laid tables sporting pretty pink linen tablecloths. It’s really friendly too. A bonus in this day and age. Everyone commented how nice and hot the food was.

Front door was locked, we had to search for around the side for an entrance. A member of the party missed the side entrance and ended up around the back where the doors were also locked. Told not to sit at the table by the bar as Sunday night regulars expected. Selection of beers OK but quite clearly don't encourage custom. Went to order a drink for the 5 of us at 10.10pm and was told that the bar closed at 10pm! Not just poor business practice but sheer bad manners. View menu

The food and service were excellent at this restaurant (Sunday Roast). Two of us ordered the roast lamb and it was the best I've had in a long time - the meat was tender, the vegetables were cooked perfectly, and the portion was generous. Even my 6-year-old grandson, who is a big eater, finished his adult cod and chips. The service was also top-notch. If you're looking for a cozy traditional pub with delicious and filling food and a great atmosphere, then this is the place to go.

A small village pub that serves a good selection of beers which pleased my husband. I’d booked for a Christmas dinner taking friends that do the “best”. They’d missed this one. A superb very tasty hot Christmas dinner with an excellent selection of vegetables. Mary, the owner served with a smile on her face all the time. Excellent value for money too. 3 courses plus coffee and a mint. Superb. Thank you. I should keep this info to myself in case you all go and “no room at the inn” for us.
