"I wasn't at blueberries with my friends since before covid so it was great to kick through the door and see how busy it is, fortunately I had a table for lunch. there is nothing special vegan on the menu, but they try to place their very hardest, in contrast to some places. I love a jacket kartoffel and choose her beats with various items from the menu, so ordered frying and avocado. katherine, one of the owners and cook came on our table and said she could suggest some other dishes and also vegan cheese if I did not the jacket kartoffel, but if I still did how about the topping of sonbs. what a nice geste and I will visit her on her offer of other options at the next. I noticed that they were able to offer vegan options for their Christmas card and also had two vegan, frozen meals to take away, moussaka and chili. my friends ordered a chicken and specksalat and a fish and chips and both said that eating was delicious with a mention that the chips were the best. my kartoffel was huge, with a lot of topping, served with beautiful salat and quickly grinded. the food is made fresh to order and blueberries is very popular as full it was on a cold Wednesday afternoon. there is also a small marquee on the side of the blueberries, which for those who are brave and sitting the weather and of course adds extra space. I really can't knock blueberries, they may not have vegan options (although a cake would be nice and I need to ask if they have plant milk as I always have my own. but they will always try to eat rusty something satisfying and with announcing can something like a vegan hotpot that I had before, what was brilliant."

"We organised a group booking for 19, we arrived and were seated, two separate tables. We waited for service for our drinks, and had some friendly banter with the waiter as to how the rest of our group pushed in with their drinks order. Our drinks arrive , I asked could he put our drinks on a separate tab, and I would pay for them as they were expensive, no need he said. Our drinks arrived and one of our party ordered a double Vodka in a tall glass lots of DIET coke, she cannot have normal coke. This arrived in a small glass, vodka Diet Coke , a bottle served separately. She asked for a second Diet Coke to dilute and larger glass, glass arrived followed by a readily poured COKE. She enquired if this was diet as she has allergies. The waiter then replied IF YOU ASKED FOR DIET THEN DIET IT IS, rude. She then proceeded politely to express the point that she needed 100% certainty it was Diet Coke. He rudely replied IS THIS GOING TO BECOME A PROBLEM. Naturally we were not there to create a problem but to prevent a Crisis if she had ingested anything that exacerbated her condition. The waiter proceeded to ask the person who had poured the drinks to clarify , at which point he returned to the table and with a heavy hand placed a fresh bottle on the table followed by are you happy now. The waiter was rude and caused a situation which could have been prevented. He would not look at her partner or address our concerns. Several people from our group approached the waiter and tried to pacify the situation, he appeared rude arrogant On leaving our table he said WAITERS ARE NOT THERE TO BE ABUSED. At no point in that situation was anyone treated with disrespect or abused. We were there for a celebration and sadly had to take that decision to leave the venue. A very disappointing night out, albeit expensive for just drinks. We proceeded to another venue who provided excellent service and benefitted from a huge expenditure tip from our party. Your team needs to address its customer service policy."

"Went for a birthday meal as recently moved to the area and hadn’t been for about 30 years. Well, first thing to say is that nothing seems to have changed since I last came, and it looked dated then. Decor is very tired and in desperate need of modernisation. it looks like it was last updated in the 1970‘s and hasn’t been touched since. When we arrived we were greeted by a scruffy bar area, where we waited to be seated. After a modest wait (we were told 30 mins, but it was actually a bit less) we were shown to our table. On entering the restaurant area we passed the dessert cabinet. Normally you would expect a restaurant to use this to showcase its treats. Instead the cabinet was a sad state of affairs with some sorry looking desserts in it and cartons of supermarket custard at the bottom. We were a group of four and were given a table set for seven because this was the only one available, so had to push three chairs to the end to make it feel comfortable. As for the food, I can only describe it as very disappointing. The Lasagne looked like it had been cremated and then sat around for ages, while the pizza looked like a £1 meal deal with a hint of pepperoni rather than something freshly made. Fair to say we didn’t bother with dessert. The only positive I can give Franco’s is that the service was fine and the staff were polite and attentive. But overall, it was a very disappointing experience. If I live long enough then I might go back again in another 30 years, just to see if anything has changed."
