"Today, I took my Dad to his favorite local restaurant for his birthday. He enjoyed the fish and chips, but unfortunately, my son and I opted for the new dish on the menu, Prawn Linguine. I must say, it was the worst meal I have ever had at the Three Legged. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she informed me that they have received other complaints, but the menu is controlled by headquarters. I found this confusing, as I believe any chef should taste the food before it leaves the kitchen. The waitress mentioned they are trying to remove the dish from the menu, but that didn't help us on this particular visit, which was disappointing.
As a gesture of goodwill, the waitress took our coffees and dessert off the bill. Personally, I believe our main courses should have also been comped, but I didn't want to cause a scene and upset my Dad. Despite this disappointing experience, I will give the Three Legged another chance, as I know this is not their usual standard. I felt it was important to share my feedback in this review."
